While not the strongest of the show for the men's side, 25+ competitors in each women's contest with very good competitors is going to make it a good contest. For the guys, Silvio should win this, then move to compete in the 2008 Mr. Olympia as a top 6 competitor.
But we always underestimate Darrem Charles. He just may go in there, and upstage Silvio. Now that would be interesting.
-
Will this big pre olympia show be live on bodybuilding.com?
-
If Silvio can be in Top6 of O, totaly i wont give a shit to the O judge anymore.
NO DOUBLE BI AND TOO SMALL.

They are not webcasting the Houston Pro, but look for a Road to the Olympia Series Episode with Silvio Samuel after the show sometime...
-
I'm betting 2-3 surprise guys enter.
Who gets O invite? Top 3, or top 5?
-
While not the strongest of the show for the men's side,
we've been saying that a lot recently. perhaps having 5 spots qualify for the Olympia is really not good for the sport. think how many top tier athletes would enter these contests if only the winner qualified for the Olympia.

Top Three Qualify for the O in the contests.

LOL ;D ;D ;D
I thought the same thing, Kyomu! Silvio is short, has a weak back, large stomach, and small narrow shoulders.
Maybe the judges are looking at something else . . .

Great bodyparts but not so great shoulder to waist ratio, hence symetry needs a tad improvement, hope he makes top 6.
-
he will be the biggest taller and most complete cometititor, hope the judges will rtemember the name of this sport is bodybuilding

No you are wrong. Trust me. I saw him on stage directly twice.
His waist ratio is excelent. Just his biceps is horrible. No peak at all.
But other things are all good. He has a good structure to be a O someday.

Maybe I am wrong, but based on that pic anyone will say he has a wide blocky waist and a poor shoulder to waist ratio. Maybe its just the pic, gives us something else to work with and maybe I'll take it back (my comment) :)
-
Jablonicky must be at least 50 by now ::)

::) That will sure be fun to watch following around a short mumbling wannabe spaniard who has nothing interesting to say.

That statement right there shows you know very little about bodybuilding ::)
-
actually its true. With Ronnie and Vic out of the Olympia, the top 6 is wide open.
The realistic contenders being:
Jay, Wolf, Dex, Phil, Branch, Kai, and Melvin
Silvio might be terribly overrated, but he's beaten half of those people before

When has Silvio EVER beaten Jay Dex or Phil ::) I'll tell you when....NEVER
nevermind that Kai is on a HUGH upswing as is Wolf
