How many gyms have you been a member of?  Which ones?  Which was your favorite?

If you can afford it-it is a nice switch to train at 2 different gyms.

I have been training since 1973 but the last 8 years not much.  But in that time I have easily trained at over 200 gyms around the US, Mexico and China.  Most of them for just a day or so while traveling.  In the 80's and 90's is when I traveled the most.

I've been seriously thinking of starting my own gym. I've had the business plan for a while but I think it may be time to put it into action. I'm going to start pricing warehouse space this week and hopefully by this time next year or sooner it will be open.

Boston Sports Club, it's the only gym that is close to my current residence - in the city. It's a good gym though, even mix of cardio and serious weight lifters..... Since it is so expensive, and there are a lot of professionals there, I don't have to deal with many of the goofs we talk about on the board.

I used to work out at my college's gym - ( Boston University), and that gym is gigantic. Also, I was a member of the South Boston golds, but the drive there became tiresome. To me gyms like Golds are overrated.....give me a bench, some hammer strength machines, dumbells and a squat rack.
