i would respect him more for taking more money some place else, infact the pens offered him more money and years
he shed blood and tears with the pens and then he abandoned them for the one team that was a little better >:(

i dont get Hossa's choice either..well i do but i dont.
i can understand wanting to go to a team where he thinks he can win now. but detroit just won this year and how often does a team win back-to-back? ....not very :-\
for the money he took he just should have stayed with the pens. they have a great young team and definately a great shot at being back in the finals this coming season.
or better yet he just should have gone for the big $ my Oilers were offering :D
also, how stupid is it for a free agent off one of his best seasons, that everyone wants to just take a 1 year deal? what if he has one of his worst seasons ever or gets a serious inury? the offers will be a whole lot less next year.
anyways, im happy with what my Oilers did. no free agent signings but they made some great trades.
we gave up Pitkannen but got an even better d-man in Vishnovsky.
and we gave up Torres and Stoll but got Erik Cole and a great yuoung guy in Brule. again definate upgrades.
where does Sundin and Jagr go?
some talk that the Oilers are after Jagr

yeah nobody understands hossa's decision
the local media said while questioning his decision, hossa seemed as if he was trying to convince himself that he did the right thing ???
i think in his mind he feels the wings will win next year and then he'll sign an even bigger money deal once the cap goes up with a less talented team, the great teams can't afford to give him what edmonton offered
and jagr reportedly took the big money with russia, what a bitch like he needs more money ::)
