Yeah, they are different colors because the pre-judging and finals had different lighting just like the Ronnie 99 pics. In a few pics Flex is brown, while some pics he looks golden yellow. Oh well ::)

I have the tape for the 99 Mr. O and Kevin said during production, videos have added sharpness and contrast. That goes for every bodybuilder on video.
He also mentioned quotes and eye witnesses are better than pics. I posted 40 + quotes from eye witnesses and none of the nuthuggers even dared to counter it with any quotes. The people words that I quoted carries weight, while your word couldn't even carry a straw. I'm still waiting on the quotes, LOL.

Flex looks good there - but is clearly lacking in density, mass, and hardness. He's ripped but just looks soft. Even in that form he wouldn't have defeated Yates that year.

Great delts, round muscle, and very long bellies with small joints. Add some synthol, which everyone was doing anyway, but the intellegent were discreet, and there you go.
Say what you will, but the guy was looking unlike anything anyone had ever seen.
Labrada still looked pretty good next to him though.

The screencaps clearly show that he didn't have calf implants...You can't flex a implant, because they would always looked flexed. With Flex like any normal calf, there is a "unflexed", and then there is "flexed"

I think Flex was perhaps at his best in 92 whilst still an amateur but his 93 AC rendition was superb all the same. He was only a little off this in 98, and perhaps the judges were comparing him to his previous best and in so doing, placed him second to Ronnie - a man who had no right to ever beat him if we're honest. In fact, Flex should have taken an axe to Ronnie and removed his skull.

Wrong.
People with calf implants can still flex and unflex because the implant goes BEHIND the muscle. Not in front. So the muscle still contracts and relaxes. If it didn't foot flexion wouldn't be possible and walking would be extremely hard for them.

But notice hFlex's waist is smaller than Lebrada's is...

On the other hand, you have Flex, probably the most gifted Bber ever, his '93 physique is one of the best of all times and he didn't have to do half of what other pros needed to do to look twice as good as them. I think he did reach his max. Unless he did what Ray did and add weight little by little each year. The car crash is what did him in, he thought that could gain ground by gaining weight too fast.
