it wasn't very long ago that it was the same here. The last I knew there were still some states but it's been a long time since I looked so maybe not anymore?
I think it's 16 or higher in pretty much every state in the country. We just raised ours from 14 to 16 about six or seven years ago.

I also agree it's too young although being realistic it is somewhat semantics. Not like teenagers will suddenly say, oh the laws changed let me not "do it" now...although I still feel that is too young, condones it, and takes away legal recourse when it may be warranted.
Not throwing stones I was married super young also, but a few states in the USA like Alabama, New Hampshire can get married at low as 13 and 14 anyway. Been cases of 14 yr olds forced to be married reported. Not cool in my book.
Not sure why anyone thinks it worse to have sex...then to get married and have sex at 13. Same difference, maybe worse. Many laws worldwide need to be looked at and changed imo.
