Rampage was limping pretty bad as he strolled through Mandalay Bay last night. It was a great fight and thank God because most of the other fights were boring.

What can I say... it was a traumatic image - seeing ole Lift all bloodied, brutally beaten, and beggin' for mercy at the hands of riled up schmotogs.... that's hard to shake. LOL

considering wandy also KTFO'd Rampage in the exact same damn way twice, methinks he's pretty wary of fighting the guy anyway, let alone after the Jardine fight.

I thought it was a draw. Forrest won rounds 2 and 5 and Rampage won 1,3, and 4. Round 2 was 10-8. The judges had Forrest winning big, I just didn't see it. Rampage was much sharper with his hands.

Yep, there will be a rematch.
I thought Forrest won by 1 point. Round 2 was definitely a 2 point round. The judges had the margin too wide IMO. It was a close fight.
Forrest wasn't setting up those leg kicks in the middle rounds, I think he could have ended the fight with them.

Rampage admitted he lost in the post-fight interview (he say he got his ass wuuped...that guy is hillarious). However, it was a very close fight.

i think forrest would've said the same thing, that HE lost if it went that way. just too close.
but thats what re-matches are for 8)

the rematch will be even better imo.
fews things I liked about this fight:
- rampage has very very nice hand placement and headmovement
- griffin chin stood up well to some tremendous shots
- griffin landed some very nice body kicks that I think finally slowed rampage in the 5th actually just a little
- rampage is indeed a very powerful mofo ( in a triangle choke/arm bar) got on the balls of his feet and picked forrest off the freaking mat still in the damn choke (wow) then tried the slam..insane power demo there
both these guys put on a great show. I good with win. felt it was a SD win for G but who cares. Great fight.

Rampage reminds me a little bit of Mike Tyson in the way he throws them deadly upper cuts. Almost knocked out forest twice with that upper cut!!!

I wish I cuold find the Pride interview with Rampage where he talks about another japanese fighter wearing red trunks. Rampage said he was going to have to whoop his ass just for wearing the red trunks. HA HA....I never tire of that one.....nor the GSP post fight interview where he talks about how he had Shawn Sherk hurt when he heard sherk go "uhhhhhhhh" HA HA...good shit
