Agreed, pits where bred to be tolerant of humans. No pit master wants to get attacked while pulling dogs apart ( scumbags)...... Generally for protection work, American Bulls, Dobies, GSD and Rotts are far better choices than pits.
Pitbulls (pound for pound) are by far the toughest, strongest and most athletic k9's on the planet ( they can pull 30 times their own bw), but when they are subjected to protection work, you have to work a bit harder to make them attack people.

Bankruptcy is a way of protecting your assets from creditors. He's not poor by any means. So for those people who say "he deserves it" Vick himself couldn't agree more as it was his decision and a wise decision at that to keep his assets away from creditors.

Vick filed Chapter 11 papers in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Newport News on Monday. The seven largest creditors listed in the court papers are owed a total of about $12.8 million.
The suspended Atlanta Falcons quarterback hopes he “can, after the conclusion of the bankruptcy case, rebuild his life on a personal and spiritual level, resurrect his image as a public figure, and resolve matters with the NFL such that he can resume his career,” according to the filings.
Vick is serving a 23-month prison sentence at the U.S. Penitentiary in Leavenworth, Kan., after pleading guilty last year to bankrolling a dogfighting ring. He was subsequently suspended indefinitely without pay and lost all his major sponsors, including Nike. He also faces state charges related to dogfighting.
The debt includes part of a signing bonus that the Falcons are seeking to recover.
After the plea on dogfighting charges, the Falcons tried to recover about $20 million in bonuses Vick earned from 2004 to 2007. But a federal judge held that Vick is entitled to keep all but $3.75 million of the money paid to him for playing football through the 2014 season.
According to the filings, Vick’s other debts include $4.5 million owed to Richmond-based Joel Enterprises Inc., and $550,0000 owed to Radtke Sports Inc. for breach of contract.
In May, a federal judge ordered Vick to repay about $2.5 million to a Canadian bank for defaulting on a loan. The Royal Bank of Canada had sued Vick in September, arguing his guilty plea to a federal dogfighting charge—and the resulting impact on his career—prevented him from repaying the loan.
A default judgment for $1.08 million also was entered in January against Vick and a business partner in a lawsuit brought by Wachovia Bank over a loan for an Atlanta-area wine shop and restaurant.

You obviously have no idea what bankruptcy protection is. It's done to protect assets from creditors, hence the term "bankruptcy protection". Do you not get the concept? The end result is he keeps millions of his hard-earned cash from going to creditors. Even if he doesn't get a single endorsement from this point forward he will still be able to hold on to millions of his own cash and live a very comfortable life. Of course such a move is a huge black mark on his ability to obtain credit, but with the number of people he owes money to, declaring bankruptcy was a smart move on his part.

Which one of the guys I listed is super inconsistent? Any NFL gm would take every single one of those players over Vick. Vick is a world class athlete, and a great rusher, but he is a very poor qb, and to small to be a every down rb in the NFL. Most are pro bowlers, hof's and playmakers on their teams.
Vicks razzle and dazzle was all show and no go, thats why the Falcons sucked so bad with him running the team.

I'm not saying i agree with it...I myself would rather see Vick back in the NFL for one game and as I'm watching it on sunday afternoon with my feet up I witness a sniper blow his fcking head off...But thats just me...He pleaded guilty for one reason i believe...And thats so he would be given another chance down the road...His lawyers went over everything with him...They always look for the upside of everything...What i posted above is what i believe will be the upside...I don't like it...But it is the world we live in...

It will happen one of two ways...Either the SPCA see a good thing in Vick in getting people together for animal rights or Vick goes and starts his own inner city type animal rights movement...If there is money to be had, the SPCA who kills millions upon millions of animals a year is not going to turn its back on something that can generate tremendous interest...This is a guy who will be on every talk show pushing for animal rights...It would almost be criminal for someone like the SPCA (who in some peoples mind abuses animals themselves) to not be on board something that can generate so much income for unwanted animals...
no one in their right mind will touch or want michael vick no amount of resuscitation will help. he's permanently damaged goods.
