The USA BB Championships are at the end of this month in LV, so now might be a good time to take a guess at the two top winners who will get their pro cards this time out.
Pick two and only two .......
My guess is Brandon Curry and I reserve my second guess until I have a bit more time to consider who else will be entering.
Brandon is entering for sure.

Zone Capone - he'll spice it up

WTF did Derek let your gimp ass out of the basement long enought to post again Billy Boy??
-
BIG ass Country TRE Brewer IN The MIX for sure.
-
Sean Allen for the Super Heavies. Edward Nunn is good. Atoyan is big and usually in good condition however there are too many lumps and bumps to be rewarded the top spot, in my opinon
Mike Liberatore for the Heavies.
Brandon Curry is very good and will need to nail his conditioning in order to upset Liberatore.
Will Jerome Ferguson miss the top 5 and finally surrender to the fact he should compete at Masters instead of USAs?
-
Stephen Frazier or Robert Hatch in shw.
Curry in hw
-
Allen or Frazier in SHW
Curry HW

Although it's against my better judgement to go against Chick's expertise in forecasting winners, I'll take Big Sean as my second pick ... So I say that the new IFBB pros will be Sean and Brandon after the USA.
But I also think it's gonna be a hell of a close call between Brandon and Mike Libratore.
I "THINK" I am not criss crossing wt classes here. As far as I know, the IFBB cards cannot go to two contestants within the same weight class.
Any thought on that, Bob? Any possibility of a change to that?
Thanks to USA Muscle, Bill Comstock, and Michael Pinto for the following photos ....
In this order, they are .... Brandon, Mike, and Sean.
Good luck to all the contestants.......
-
Look for Kirk DeFrancesco in the Supers. Looked at him last night and he looks fantastic. Dude is big as a house with great symmetry and an ultra small waist. He is sitting at 249 right now and should nail it perfectly.
-
Here's KIRK. Looks damn good, EBA, but I got a bad habit of believing that "your dues must be paid" before getting ample notice by the judges. Would take a long time to explain that thoroughly but I honestly think that you got to lose a few and suffer the heart-break before winning a major title.
Brandon came close so I think that this just might give him a "psychological advantage"; whereas, Sean just won one and that could turn out to be a "psychological dis-advantage". He's gonna have to look better than his last appearance to hold the judges' attention.
So Kirk could be at an advantage here.
PS> I also drive well from the back seat.
Here's Kirk, I think it's Kirk ..... It's the best shot I could find of him. Thanks to Merv for this great shot.

I agree with you about paying your dues but he did do the USA's last year. I think he was third. He won his class at the North America and placed 6th the year before. He looks a lot better then the picture. He is working with George Farah this year. I think if he nails everything he has a good shot but you never know in this sport.
-
Great support for a great bodybuilding athlete, EBA, and I gotta admit that he does deserve it based on the above photo, but I think the only "heartbreaks" that count are those that find you standing in 2nd place. So I still gotta put my money on Brandon.
I sure hope he doesn't make an idiot out of me by doing less than I expect. But if that happens, I'll just blame the judges. I learned to do that well on GetBig.com and other BB commentary sites.
PS... the NPC officials read this stuff, so these comments/photos can make a difference on whom they'll be looking for in that line-up. You may not be aware of this but we do carry a BIG STICK.
You got someone you want to win? ..... Post it here. It could be helpful. You never know!

Sorry boys...BSA will be fighting for a top 5 spot.

Big Sean Allen is overrated. Period. End of story. He also speaks about himself in the 3rd person which is fucking retarded. Add that to the fact that he is a fag and you have a great mixture of shit and piss!

dude u are in love with sean. you are sad and pathetic..thats all you talk about on md also..get a life :-\

Brandon Curry is the favorite coming into the show... and the pro card.
Sean Allan has the momentum from the NPC Junior Nationals, and should win his class and pro card....
But...
Grigori Atoyan will most likely beat Sean Allan in a tight race, and win the pro card...
-
If anyone is a favorite to win the Super heavy class and a pro card its Greg Atoyan
Atoyan was runner up at last years USA and runner up at the Nationals.
He won the super heavyweight class at last years North American. Aotyan should win
-
Curry and Ray.

Hi Alex. Props to you....most ripped bb around.
Atoyan has severe attitude problems...judges will rec all and not with appreciation.
He also has many mysterious 'oil' lumps-most unflattering.
I'd say it will not end well for him.
Gregory...if you are reading this, be nicer to peeps...iut'll only help you.

Naw, If that is the best shot you could find of him, he can't hold a candle to Curry. Most people were talking about Curry since last year. Hopefully he will live up the hype...and so far he hasn't mis-stepped yet. In many of the pucs, often taken with Trey, he seems full and in shape...It would be good to she him and Phil battle on stage.

This is a correct assessment.
He's always storming off the stage and throwing tantrums when he doesnt win. Not a very good sport :-\

Yes sir, you are right 8)
No one likes a poor sport

Curry and Ray.
They will be in the same class. I'll be in the heavies as well. Hoping to make some noise in a pretty stacked heavy weight class.

Best of luck, BD.

Curry looks good to me...Sean Allen is going to be outclassed by some of these guys. Brewer should not enter. He should take the year out to rethink his whole game plan.

Despite these finishes I don't think he should win. That's like saying I've been the back up running back and should start this season because I've been the back up last two seasons. Some newbie is going to come in and take the starting spot. Rewarding a physique with lumps and bumps is a not a step in the right direction, in my opinion.

LEGS are huge, was a frontrunner few yrs back, had some gyno?good solid thick build.

I agree with Lift here ...... Rewarding a physique with lumps and bumps is a not a step in the right direction, in my opinion....... but it has been done in the past.
I don't know the lineup but I bet ya he doesn't finish top three in his class this year.

Im just saying who I think is next in line to win based on who is the front runner should be. and should move up a spot.
lets see....runner up last years USA
runner up at the nationals...and first at the North American.....
He finished 2nd, 2nd and 1st in the biggest shows of the year.
And all 3 guys that beat him turned pro
I guess Im out of my mind to think he can win
.... Hmmm I thought I made some sense here, but guesss not...oh well time will tell
-
Brandon Curry NOT Sean Allen.

Sure he should be mentioned and in the mix. Just because the guys who beat him turned pro doesn't mean it's his turn. There are guys he hasn't competed against who will be looking for the #1 spot and leave him in the bridesmaid spot again. You have every right to think he will win, however I disagree and don't think he should be rewarded as high as he has in the past.
