I live in a very tough neighbourhood, I run into fights on a daily basis, so which martial art should I choose?
-
I think a kickboxing backgound would be a very good street defense. A majority of fights I have been involved in were stand-up. I was in Kenpo for 6 years, and I say it definitely helped me control my side of the fight. I am definitely looking into training with Brandon Shuey, and learn from his Muay Thai teaching. Then I will go on to learn BJJ.

one on one BJJ all the way...however Krav Maga owns them both.
-
Anything more than one on one and BJJ will be mostly useless. Unless you like getting kicked in the face as you go for that armbar.

Agreed, Good post BF. How is shit going brother? I would have to tell this guy like Iron Warrior, look into some kick boxing. Boxing is good but you don't learn elbows, Clinch, or knees. Kicks you can do with out for the most part if it is more then one, but Knees and Elbows are always nice no matter the count of attackers... ;D ;D

Gotta love those Israeli's.. A very brutal form of combat: I agree.

ofcourse i'm all for kickboxing....you can mix that sh*t up and really do work on a mofo if you really open up your arsenol on somebody....mix in some judo with that to keep mofos off you and control them..and you can do some real damage.
that krav maga sh*t is insane and you'll be sent to prison...LOL.

Some guys here never threw a punch and are giving fight advices... The best advice is to stay awqy from problems. Don't think that knowing thay or boxing or kick or krav that will make you superior, because it won't...
