5 sets of 5 worked very well for me. That and eating everything in sight. Consistency and intensity as well.

Did a 10*10 on squats with about 30 seconds rest with 225lbs butt to the ground. By the fifth set it was horrible. I was ready to pass out. By the time I was done I could barely stand

Alternating between heavy and lighter sets,
Plus supersetting. Such as bench press, and dumbell
fly's. My strengh has gone up 30lbs in a month.

Still a baby, but 5x5 feels good and seems to work... unlike other progs I've tried.

Gayer than not just taking drugs so as to receive greatest return for least amount of effort.
