Ideologically, yes. Professionally, no. Quitting his press secretary job after such a short stint for a paper chase was very low class. He knew what the job was and how much it paid when he so eagerly stepped into it. Bailing on it the way he did was a betrayal of his boss and colleagues. >:(
That said, either 53 is too young to die or I am getting old. :-\

who cares
You might ask his wife and 3 children El_A$$wipe. :-\

I obviously disagree with the guy and his stance concerning Bush, but he was too young. I saw him on Bill Maher's show not too long ago and he looked great. This was completely out of the blue.

I find it hard to criticize anyone's decision to leave the worst administration in history of the US.
Betrayal is what his boss has done to our citzens. Pre-emptive war, nation building, etc.

We're on the same side. But he knew what the job was and what the administration was all about when he signed on. He didn't leave because he was upset with their vision or they way the executed. He left because the glamour of the job faded fast and he wanted more $$$$. All of which = self serving asshole. >:(

his cancer was in remission when he took the job
the man knew he had a short time to live and chose to spend it with his family.
It's a trite excuse but in his case it's actually the truth
how can you fault the guy for that?
My only problem would be the non-stop string of lies that spewed out of his spokes-hole on a daily basis

ok, I too didn't like the guy but for some reason it really irks me seeing attacks on someone the day they die. Maybe I'm wrong, I dunno... We debate a person's decisions and beliefs the whole time they're active in what they're doing. We've all said what we had to in that area and will again when those decisions and beliefs are discussed in the future. On the day a person dies, I can't attack them. It's the one day I think we all could use a pass.
