I've used one several times. I just don't see the $2,000-$10,000 hype.
Seems like a fad thats going to be here today & gone tomorrow.
Looks as Jay Cutler is jumping on board.
Anyone want to debate why these are so great?

Kind of similar to how I put my cell phone on vibrate under my balls and call myself for 10mins at a time.
-
I guess it's cheaper than spending $10,000
-
That one you have in the picture is by far not the best machine available. It is also the most expensive. It does not provide the proper range of vibration. It is widely used by several professional teams but that is because they were first and they market heavily to them. The Pineapple Machine is by far the best. It has a lot more range and it is built to do more things. I have a complete research documentation that compares every vibration machine on the market in several differently categories. The Power Plate ranks pretty low.

yeah i think its overrated.

I was a PT for many years, and the company
sent us to seminars every month so that we could
constantly evolve and increase our knowledgebase.
A couple of them was about vibration training in
various forms.

We put one in our Chiropractors office. Helps with bone density in older people. I personally think I wasted my money, but it's paying for it self.....I guess :-\

Thats what I am thinking about these
Can't see why someone would want to spend so much $$$$

I sell the Turbosonic line along with the new Turbosonic X7 for 16,000.
However the best one I sell is a Generic Brand Heavy Duty Vibration Machine. Its parts and build are similar to the Powerplate but because its a no name brand, I sell it for only $999.00.
Vibration training and therapy works very well but its not a complete solution and should be used alongside weight training and cardio

There has been little to no research done on these type of machines that use sound waves to acheive the vibration. Machines that use "linkage" technology are the most tested, reliable and permit the most variety of movement (up & down, side to side, etc). Cheap machines provide inadequate movement and are not designed for major usage. The machines that use sound to create the vibration though are pretty reliable because they have less moving parts. Frequency range is okay (25 to 50) but does not offer low frequency which is vital for people with epilepsy or other conditions where to much vibration could cause problems.

I like to do pistols (one legged squats) hand stand push-ups, and tuck planche push-ups on these.

At the seminars:
It took them 3days to say this, presenting various studies and reports
that are not made by the manufacturers:
Bottomline, it only works for disabled patients who are unable to move
or trying to recover.
Small small benefits for athletes rehab.
For any other athlete, normal or fat person vibration training is not really doing much.
It can in some cases hinder progress(squatting on vib plates).
The Coach said, he wasted the offices money buying one, but the poor average joes keep paying for using it
so the office got the money back.
Scammers like Goodrum claiming it works well, and help you with weightloss etc,
his 160000USD gaybotronic2000 vibrating machine is da shite, Goodrum is a thief.

I don't know if they do anything for a bodybuilder but doing bodyweight squats on a vibration plate gave me the most incredible pump ever.

They are good for mixing paint but too strong for mixing Winstrol. The Biggest Loser has two each season.
