Too bad Gay-ROD didn't participate in the derby. I mean after all, the all-star game is only being held in Yankee Stadium's last and final year. No Yankees in the derby to represent the hometown crowd. What a fucking douche he is.
You know the only reason was becasue he was afraid to get jeered by the hometown fans about his divorce and the Madonna escapade. That's how sensitive he is. Don't buy his rap about the derby hurting his sweet swing for the second of the season. Bullshit.
I know this a meltdown but A-rod is a serious asshole. From the time he slapped the ball out of the first baseman's glove during the 2004 ALCS and up until last season during the World Series, when he announced he was opting out of his then-record contract in order to steal the headlines.
The guy is just a dick, plain and simple. Yankee fans should be ashamed of him. The dude can't produce shit when it counts in the postseason(which the Yankees won't be making this year).
Flame on, Yankee nut-huggers. ;)

Gladly.

I don't blame him. The derby's stupid and a waste of time. Seven years ago, he participated in the derby and it messed his swing up for a month. It can happen, other players have said the same thing. Plus, he's a right handed hitter, and, as Hamiltion proved, it's tough to go up against a lefty at at Yankee Stadium.

He fielded questions for an hour yesterday, and answered everthing asked of him. He's not ducking anything.

But this play was totally defended by sox fans, because he's well, so scrappy and gritty, ya know

I agree - this was inexcusable and completely dickheaded. I'm not excusing ARod by any means, but this was orchestrated by Scott Boras. No way ARod came up with this idea. I always predicted ARod would stay a Yankee, but I didn't see it going the route it did. I hated him when this happened.

Arod isn't a dick, he's just dumb, and somewhat oversensitive. His postseason struggles have been largely due to the Yankees facing great pitching performances, not him underperforming while other excelled.

This I will not argue. ;D
In fact, I've always disliked ARod since the first big contract when he said "it's not about the money". I like him a little better lately since he's stopped trying to explain everything and please everyone, but there's still many, many Yankees I like better than him.
