One of the hottest angles during wrestling’s late-90’s boom.

Just seemed a little cheesy (that's wrestling) that he was supposed to be Shawn’s buddy the whole time until Michaels turned on him at the end of the WM match, at which point Tyson ripped off his HBK shirt to reveal an Austin 3:16 T- underneath.

If he wanted it, Tyson probably could have had a career in the WWF for a while anyway.
His mic. skills would’ve needed a lot of work, but he would have had the huge advantage of “being” Mike Tyson.

Around late 1986 Vince had ideas to bring in Tyson to “box” Roddy Piper, but nothing ever came of it.

I once saw The Rock spit in his fist and stomp his foot while punching the Big Show, sending the 450 pounder airborne over the top rope and out of the ring.

Tyson’s a pussy.

I once saw a close up of Hulk Hogan delivering a series of punches to King Kong Bundy.
There was a good 2 inches of space between Hogan’s fist and Bundy’s head.
Hulkster actually knocked Bundy out cold with WIND.

If Tyson and Steve Austin were really too throw hands, Tyson would murder SA. Tyson is a highly trained professional fighter, SA is a fictional character.

It doesn't matter that stone cold had weight advantage more muscle whatever, he would be knocked out within 30 seconds.  Did you see jose juiced up canseco get knocked out in 1st round by old eagles punt kicker Via something, Via was just an amateur boxer, just think what a professional former best in the world would do.

we all know wrestling is fake, but those guys could beat the shit out of most people in  a real fight. most of them come from a backround of real martial arts etc.

Like many sports, pro wrestling participants (most of them) are very athletic and disciplined – they have to be to do 90% of the physical part.

The action these days, though choreographed, requires great skill, but much of it at the same time is quite cheesy and deserving of lighthearted ridicule.

One of the best things that could happen to the industry was when Vince McMahon finally came clean and admitted the truth about the product. People no longer had to feel embarrassed about watching it because now it was just a TV “show” as opposed to a legit sport.
You either like it or you don’t, but it quashed many of the comments along the lines of, “Why do you watch that garbage? You know it’s all fake anyway.”

I trained for a time with an Indy promotion. These guys acted like it was 1980 – still protecting the “inner working of the business” when around regular people.
We’re past that, now.
Everybody knows the secrets, and I think many folks enjoy the backstage stuff just as much.

That was “Dr.” Dave Schultz that ABC's John Stossel tried to interview for 20/20 (after WWF brass wouldn’t let them near Hulk).
A lot of people thought that was all staged since, after all, that’s what the segment was about.

Stossel was completely unprofessional in going up to a 6’2 redneck and rudely belittling the guy’s livelihood on national TV, and I believe he suffered permanent hearing loss as a result.

I know there was a lawsuit against WWF and possibly Schultz. Funny enough you never saw him again in the Fed after that.
