1) A "helmet" (or actually comfortable earplugs or whatever) to wear to bed that is comfortable enough to sleep in and eliminates the sound of snoring.
2) A garbage "disposal" system that is located somewhere in your kitchen that is modeled after those suck-tubes in drive-through banks. You would place your used coffee filter/onion skins/broken lightbulbs etc in an area that would automatically suck the garbage into your garbage cans in your garage. If you lived in an apt. complex it would suck it all to the community dumpster.
There could also be a suck-tube area in which you could place your recyclables and it would have a sensor whether it was paper/plastic/aluminum etc.
What else :)

Thedy have something like that. They have a floor suction unit that is just a slot in the floor that you can sweep dirt, crumbs or whatever and it sucks it up and puts it into a container. It is actually built floor level into the side of a wall. Perfect for you kitchen

Vastly improved solar panels and battery technology. The efficiency of solar panels has remained essentially unchanged since it became widespread (occasional solar panels on houses, in calculators, etc) in the 1980s. I am not a scientist, but even I can tell it is possible for them to collect far more energy than they currently do. It's like the difference in capacity between a CD, a DVD, and a BluRay DVD. As far a s solar panels go we are still at the CD stage. When we make the leap to DVD and BluRay with solar panels, we will be able to power our homes and cars and store that energy with no need for gasoline or other fossil fuels. Imagine a car with a solar panel integrated into the roof and a battery that enables the car to go 500+ miles. All you'd need to do to recharge it is park it in the sun for 1-2 hours. :D
I think a Dyson sphere will always be in the realm of science fiction, but the sun sends a lot of energy here and virtually all of it is wasted. :(

You ever heard this saying: "prevention is better than cure"?
Why not have some technology with the capability to stop snoring? ???
BayGBM, isn't a cure for gayness more attractive to you?

That's not entirely true, many of it is put to good use (e.g. food chain including all forms of life, oxygen from rain forests, hydropower plants, windmills, etc.). But I agree that a lot of it is wasted (reflected back or coverted to unusable energy forms).
Since solar energy (apart from geothermic power) is the only real energy source, all sorts of solar enery plants will be the future anyway, if we like it or not.

How curious that you would spend your time thinking about something like that. Then again, maybe it's not so curious. ::)

I guess I've lost all hope for that.

A self-retracting cord pack that you can install to replace regular knot-prone cords on any of your existing household items ie: hair dryer, leaf blower, hand-mixer etc.
