Personally I think that if you can't feed them, don't breed them. I don't think anyone who is capable of working should be given free money, ever. Opinions?
-
A necessary evil.
If you limit welfare to 'we will only give you $ for the first two kids', you'll see their reproduciton numbers dorp.
if you wnd it completely, crime will increase significantly.
-
Every civilized, wealthy country has a safety net. Problem is our welfare system breeds laziness. Welfare should be like unemployment. After a certain time you're cut off. Especially if you have another kid while on it and shit like that.

Only in a perfect world. Think of the billions we waste when McD's is hiring right around the corner. All those people would rather be bums than work.

good point

good point as well, its not hard to find a job it may be somewhat hard to find a career that you want to do for the rest of your life but a job to pay the bills until you find a career NO...My brothers first job in high school was at a pizza place he walked 2 miles each way to work that job, if you want to work you can find work...PLAIN AND FUKING SIMPLE.

I said there should be limitations. But hard times can befall the best of us. Do poor lazy bastards take advantage of the system? Of course. But we need to fix the system not do away with welfare altogether.
-
Welfare should be like unemployment.
That was it's intentions :-\
But we all know how that has worked out.
-

I said in a perfect world. There should be a strict limitation but that will never fly with the Dems, rednecks and Mexicans popping out 10 babies, and the blacks who would rather drink 40's on their porches all day long.
Yeah, like TonyM said, you may not find a lasting career but I know people who would rather work 3 shit jobs at one time rather than go on welfare. Many people who go on welfare are inherently lazy pieces of shit and that is sad. They should treat it like unemployment and make you find a job. I've read a few books about how people abuse the system and it is pathetic.
-
Personally I think that if you can't feed them, don't breed them. I don't think anyone who is capable of working should be given free money[...]
Are you saying all welfare recipients have multiple children in order to collect welfare and not have to work? If not all, how many would you say fit your profile?
-

Interesting point. Maybe Mickey Dee's should pay more and Welfare should be less.
-
If someone can't work because of physical handicap, then so be it. But we seriously need to start cracking down on people who can work but don't. As 2 Thessalonians 3:10 says.....
-

Maybe they should be forced to work (Taco Bell is hiring ;D) and then the gov't cuts the payments in half, that would make a pretty drastic impact. The problem is that you teach nothing in the way of work ethic by paying people to stay home and sit on their asses.
-

I agree. the system is really screwed up. there are people however that really do need the help and are worthy of it. The problem is there are too may people who abuse it.
Canadians that a i know are very resentful of the many people who take advantage of the socialist leaning government and sit on their ass and surrender to poverty and not work.
-
If Welfare benefits American citizens I'm all for it. If it benefits someone else, NO!
-
I like our welfare system here, which can only work in a small place. It's really only for disabled folk, seniors etc. No able bodied people at all, and no people with fake disabilites - you have to be like half dead. Then once you get the welfare - they give tons of it, take good care and give a decent amount that folks can live of, as those ppl are like in wheelchairs etc.
Personally, I am a hardliner on welfare myself.

I think the wisest thing to do would be to find out where most of the public money is being spent. Once we do that we can then bitch and moan about the one-legged/unemployed next door neighbor.
One thing though, after hearing about what the FED did to bail out Bear-Stearns it is becoming EMBARRASINGLY apparent that public money is flowing into private hands more and more every year.
But, guys, keep looking in the other direction, your next-door neighbor is the real enemy.

Keeping Bear Sterns alive was a much better decision than letting it go insolvent. Learn something about economics, twat.
I'd rather they bail out a company like that than give that money to some minorities who would rather by FUBU with it than find a job.

They bailed out BS.
2 weeks later, freddy and fanny wanted bailed out.
Is there any doubt in your mind that in 2 more weeks, we'll have FOUR banks or mortgage houses begging for bailouts?

Do you want to see the economy collapse? The start of the great depression was accelerated by bank runs. Once one went insolvent, everyone panicked and started drawing their funds out, even from banks that were very healthy. It's a chain reaction. Do you want to see that happen again?

NO Banks are "healthy"
Fractional Reserve Banking is legalized counterfeiting and fraud.

Hahaha, let the big i-banks collapse and I'm sure everything would be fine and dandy. Only an idiot would assume that. Seeing FCs of that caliber collapse and go insolvent would make the economy even worse than it is now.

Of course not. However, Bear stearns issued giant bonuses to their CEO and top brass right before asking for the bailout. SEC is, well, kinda pissed about it. White house didn't require them to return the bonuses.
We'll probably find in the coming days that Freddy and Fanny did the same thing - issued their yearly bonuses for the top guys, THEN asked for help.
It's abuse. It's using the public treasury to fund priavte banking. Not good. Because every other industry will follow suit.

That bonus shit happens everywhere, not just banking. The CEO of Countrywide made a killing last year despite his company doing absolutely shiteously. CEO bonuses are fucked up, but it's not a reason to let the economy suffer by letting them go insolvent.

Right, feeling sorry for a bank that has made billions and funneled most of it to a handful of leaches is OK. Giving a $ 500.00 check to your injured neighbor is not OK. You are a patriot for sure. ::) ::) ::)
Besides, no one bailed out BS. What happened was that JP Morgan wanted to buy BS and the FED "greased" the operation, mainly because JP Morgan reps have a seat at the FED.
Besides, why would you say that welfare is only applied to minorities? Are you that blind to reality?
-

Well, that is exactly what fucks up the economy, the CEO bonuses. I mean, LAW # 1 of economics says that YOU MUST PRODUCE SOMETHING OF VALUE. In a market economy the sane thing to do is to reward those that create the most value. A CEO has never, does not, and will never create the value they get rewarded for. This is what's called a distorsion in the market. The second and by far BIGGEST distorsion is the government interfering in the market, which is supposed to be a FREE market.
I agree with you on some things, like I wouldn't mind bailing out an American company if the main beneficiaries were their American workforce. We all know they are not, so whether some rich fuckface loses 1 or 10 billion, I DO NOT GIVE A SHIT. FUCK HIM! In fact, get him a seat in the electric chair!

BS was technically insolvent. They should be happy they got any sort of value for the company at all. And I don't feel sorry for the banks. I feel that helping those banks stay afloat, which in turn keeps the economy from completely crashing, is of greater value.

And I agree, but that goes against the free market economy status quo. Also, wouldn't you say that if it is FAIR to help out American companies when going through dire straits, wouldn't it be also FAIR to help Americans going through tough times? I mean, why is it OK to help out a corporation that has made and wasted BILLIONS and distributed them unevenly (not according to value added,) with no questions asked, free public money, and not OK for one-eyed John Doe to get food stamps because YOU and I decide that he is capable or incapable of working?.

Correct - the bonus shit happens everywhere.
BUT
Everyone isn't asking for $100B to $11 Tril for bailouts. The banks are.
I don't care if McD gives their CEOs bonuses of $500mil, or a bag of free mcnuggets. They're pvt firms and they don't ask the govt for $. The prob here is that after giving these big bonuses, they have the audacity to ask for tax dollars to stay in business. Avoiding those giant bonuses should come first.

So in a nutshell, ...you're all for welfare.

So in a nutshell, ...you're all for welfare.
Not really. While some people are deserving of welfare, a large number are not. But it's one of the prices we pay in a country like this. With the freedoms like this, people have a lot of choices. Those with a lot of drive and ambition can amass incredible wealth and make a lot of money while those without drive or ambition can choose to not do shit and leech off the government. It's a double edged sword but I wouldn't have it any other way. I guess I would say I'm indifferent to it. It could be worse. The loser Europeans will support garbage for years on their welfare equivalent, while also giving them more money per month and other benefits they shouldn't be entitled to.
I do, however, support bailing out the i-banks and other companies that took hits because of the mortgage fiasco. Not because they deserve it or are entitled to it, but keeping those FCs from going insolvent will help the economy in the long run. If someone asshole getting a bonus keeps the economy from collapsing, so be it.

Now if you take that same position down to a micro level, you will see how welfare to the poverty stricken help communities in the long run. I'd rather have some guybe able to buy a loaf of bread and a carton of milk rather than have him break into my home to get it, ...or hold up my local grocery store spraying bullets while I or my family is inside. And if you don't think a society without social safety nets won't plunge into absolute anarchy, ...think again.
-
There is no problem with having social safety nets and money to help some folks out. However, welfare should be DENIED to anyone being able-bodied. It needs to be directed towards people who truly need it such as someone who has a real disability or one who is very old and does not have immediate family support. If we have illegal immigrants going through hell to come here to cut lawns or wash dishes, then someone born here who is able-bodied shouldn't need welfare.
Welfare destroys individuals. Welfare destroys communities. Welfare places massive burdens on hard-working and tax-paying citizens. In the US alone, this has been proven multiple times, both historically and in the present. Our government is one big reason why high crime rates and broken families are common within black communities...we reward and encourage irresponsible and bad behavior. And hey, if someone gets out of line with an actual criminal act, why, we just throw 'em in a human warehouse. Seems like a system that cannibalizes segments of its populations all under the guise of good intentions. Whites and hispanics also suffer the same. I worked for some years within the state department of corrections, and seen this shit way too often.

Oh please you're going to blame government handouts as to why black communities are being destroyed. Black communities are being destroyed because they fucking breed like rabbits and the dads run off to get more women pregnant while not supporting the ones they already have. I mean welfare or not if you're not fucking smart enough to know if some dude cums inside you you could get pregnant you have no business having sex. The issues in black communities go a lot deeper than massive reliance on welfare. Yes welfare is a problem in the black community but its not the most important issue.

No, I'm not blaming solely government handouts on the problems within the black community.....high school drop-out rates, crime rates, prison population, single-parent homes, broken families, drugs, and the list goes on. However, it is part of the external factors that keep blacks on this path.....by rewarding irresponsible behavior such as having children with several partners in which the government rewards on a monetary basis. I like using bullets, so here ye go....both external and internal problems within the black community inside the US:
- Unelected black "leaders" and various civil rights groups that make their living by keeping the majority of blacks in the dirt. They are in the business of inequality and quite simply, like the power and prestige that comes with their position......groups such as the NAACP, Urban League, NAN, Rainbow Coalition, and others can easily and effectively stifle opposition by using the efficient race card tactic. They also are able to hit corporations in the pocketbooks with various boycotts. Media exposure for these groups is nearly unlimited as they are mentioned in every media outlet everyday on a wide variety of topics.
- The culture, especially for the younger generation. Embracing the gangster culture. Academic achievement is shunned by many, as it is perceived as being too "white." Rappers and sports players are idolized. The "Ghetto lifestyle" is glamorized and living a hard life on the streets is not something to rise out of, but to aspire to. Many young black children are enrolled in football and basketball programs to make it to the Pros, yet very, very few do and often do not have an alternative, more realistic plan to succeed in life.
- Public education. Money isn't the issue. Community involvement isn't the main issue as it is thought to be. It is simply the coursework. I have a teacher friend who showed material taught here in Broward county and compared it to what was taught in India, the Philippines, and some Eastern European country. It was an embarassing and humiliating comparison. The courses are slowed down in the public education system to accomodate the slowest child in the classroom. This helps to ensure millions of children are not adequately prepared for college or the working world.
- The Prison system. Sentences are much too stiff, and new laws are being added to the books at increasing rates. We have too many people in prison. Prisons don't rehabilitate the offender very well, and recidivism rates are very high. However, since human warehousing is a big moneymaker, and politicians continue the "Tough on Crime" political stumps to appease rich people behind fortressed walls, this will continue to devastate and wreak havoc on black communities.

And what does any of what you posted have to do with the fact that any man or woman knows that if you stick your dick inside a woman and cum in her the chances of getting pregnant are pretty high. What does any of what you say have to do with the fact that black men don't raise their kids? I know plenty of piss poor, uneducated white and mexican men that still manage to keep their families together. Same goes for Asians and other races. After watching that CNN special Black in America I think I have lost even more respect for black people as a whole. I mean all the women on there were idiots. I didn't have a daddy so I married an older guy and had 5 kids. My father was an orphan at age 10 having lost his father before he was born during WWII. He lived in an orphanage until he was 18 and then he either found a job or was on the street. Needless to say he came to this country and never accepted a handout from our government or anyone. Raised three law abiding successful kids. He knew through common sense not to have more kids than he could support. I mean hell this is basic survival instincts that blacks at a fundamental level seem to not understand. Even animals in the wild don't have more offspring than nature can provide and they can provide food for.
-
Oh and I also grew up in a public school system in St. Louis. Black kids had the same access to the same educational system I did. They may have unfortunately been bussed in to the suburbs and maybe never felt like they were accepted but the opportunity presented itself to them. And you know what? Most of them pissed it away. Black girls were always late to class and walked through the halls with not a care in the world i.e. laziness. And I had lots of black friends throughout my public education experience.
And I used to have a very compassionate view of blacks and poverty, drugs yadda yadda. In this day and age no way. We are all trying to make it nowadays.

Can't believe you turned that on, and gave them ratings.
I guess next month the White, Red, and Yellow in America series starts ::)

Well if you watched, it actually had some interesting information in it. But overrall it was pretty ridiculous. Especially the black women who are made to look like poor victims while spreading their legs and having 5 kids by the time they are 18. The only role models that seem to exist in black communities are church leaders. LOL. There was a pretty respectful surgeon they interviewed. Guys like him should be positive role models for blacks but they probably view him as an uncle tom.
