Title: Mammograms..

Has anyone here had a mammogram?  Could you please post about your experience in as much detail as you are comfortable?  Thank you

I had my first one last year. I was super scarred because I hear it hurts. Oh my it sooooooooooo wasnt. I did have a follow up visit 6 months later (just because they have no bases for the first one). Neither one hurt, for a minute its uncomfortable and they squish your boob to a pancake but it doesnt hurt at all, besides a minute of being uncomfortable is well worth knowing. It really only takes  10 minutes at the most.

Whoever invented that medieval torture device must’ve been a man.  >:(

My local hospital says they have a [new] “softer” mammogram.  They use a BioLucent MammoPad breast cushion.

I've obviously never had a mammogram, but I cannot forget during my years in the health insurance business hearing people call it a "mammy-o-gram"
