Kevin Nee and Derek Poundstone are probably the two best Americans at the moment along with Phister but they're not at the level as the Russians yet, if either Mark Henry or Brian Siders would give strongman 100 percent they'd dominate.

I think the problem that is going to hinder Nee's career is his height, some of the events in WSM are just made for taller guys. Not sure how tall he is but looks way shorter than everyone else he competes with. Strong mofo for sure though.

I was there last summer and have been there numerous times before. I have family in three regions of the country. East West and in Kyiv. I didn't have a hard time speaking Ukrainian to anyone I spoke some Russian to. Ukraine was Russified by Russia, doesn't mean it's a Russian province.
