The first one is a review of Ryan Kennelly's DVD, and the second, Jay Cutler's newest.
What do ya think? :D
-
haha the cutler one was great ;D
-
On Jay to Z , Jay has the nerve to say ,that he was gonna be 3% BF for the MR.O that year, he was gonna start his diet that he was around 270 and he was gonna go up around 290 because he usually gain mass when he's dieting".
If hes not gonna say a word about his Anabolic-extravanganza" at least dont try to play with people's intelligence.
FRIDGE!

Thanks!

Very entertaining, particularly Jay's. You write with flair, a sense of whimsy and from a no bullshit/non-c*cksucking perspective. Very rare indeed these days! Keep up the good work. :)

Wow. Thank you so much. Those are very encouraging words, indeed. :)

quote"Two-time Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler isn’t the most charismatic man to ever set foot on a stage, but there is a sort of moping charm in his slow gait and singular facial expression. Perhaps this I’m-half-asleep-but-still-awake quality allows him the patience to withstand the endless handshakes, pats on the back and autograph signings that are required of the King of Physique Hill. Give Mr. Cut Above a medal for this skill alone. The evidence of such monotony, for all involved, is fully displayed on From Jay to Z."
;D

;D
"We also witness Jay pump it up in the outdoor weight pit at Venice Beach. The fellow in control of the p.a. system milks the appearance for all it’s worth. Several announcements ensure all within earshot are aware a reigning Mr. O is “in da house.” A modest number of folks stop to see what the fuss is about, but for the most part they gawk for a few seconds, and then move on to the two-headed guy playing the banjo with his penis farther down the boardwalk."

Everyone who has visited Venice Beach knows of the colourful characters who frequent the area. ;D

been there!
lol
still you would think a Mr Olympia might garner a little bit more attention

... still, you would think a Mr. Olympia might garner a little bit more attention.
I've come to realize that the days of public eye-bulging at the sight of a professional bodybuilder are mostly past. Dudes with large guns don't get the gawks they once did.
The mainstream has become largely desensitized to overtly muscular men.
-
first half of the road to the arnold review was just bitching about powerlifting equipment and bench specialists. in that whole thing there's about two paragraphs about the DVD. if i wanted to buy the thing and read that review in the hopes of figuring out if i should, all i'd get out of it is "kennelly is huge, makes a weird shake, and this dude hates geared lifting".

Fair enough. Thanks for your comments.

i thought it was hilarious when he ripped on Jay "only" squatting 405 for 9-10 reps. ::)

just saying the review needed more "review" and less "general rant with a DVD review sprinkled in".

I never said he did nine to 10 reps. Never mentioned how many. Regardless, I weigh 30 pounds less than Jay, and am drug-free, and perform closer to 20 repetitions with that weight ... and much deeper into the hole, as well.

::) post a video of you doing that.

I know what you're saying. Thank you for your critique.

In the midwest this would read: The mainstream has become large in general and desensitized to overtly obese people.

Don't have video of me doing that. But if you'd like, I will have the final squat session of my next three-week program cycle videotaped. I am doing pause reps (fives; Olympic style) for a count of three and will hit 455. I'd say that would give me well over 10 reps with the same weight without the pause at the bottom. What do you think? And if I can do over 10 reps with 455 (and have officially posted a 660-pound squat in competition), what do you think I could do with 405? When I did a perfect 15 reps with 405 two years ago I wasn't near as strong as I am now.
What do you think, sport?

what i think is that i'm seeing a bunch of words on a screen, not video of you doing this feat, don't sing it, bring it.

What you think is likely shit. It is your brain we're talking about here, right? However, to humour you, I will post some video within the next, say, six weeks? Fair? I did plan to videotape some sessions for this next program cycle anyway, so ... no skin off my back.

why six weeks, why not the next time you train legs? it's always the same thing, "give me some time to gain 30 pounds of muscle and 200 pounds on my squat and i'll post a video in 2 years" ::)

Do you have even a limited understanding of how strength training works? I am a powerlifter. I do not train legs; I train movements. My sessions are not mindless pumping with randomly-chosen resistance. For instance, this week I am off (last week, in the final session of that program cycle, I performed five paused reps with 435, easy). Next Wednesday I begin the three-week cycle again and will be in the low 400s for the paused fives. Would you like to see that, or the 455 two weeks after that?
I weigh 270 on the nose as of yesterday and likely won't be more than another one or two pounds by the 455.

are we speaking the same language? what is so hard to understand about what i asked, post a video of you performing 20 below parallel reps with 405 on the squat like you claimed, where is the confusion?

Sorry, but I am not gonna just do 20 reps with 405 for your amusement. Doesn't fit into my current regime. But 455 for five paused (three count on each at bottom) reps with a belt only isn't good enough for you?
I only hit high reps these days every once in a blue moon for fun ... and when it doesn't disrupt my current program. Less than two years ago I hot 31 reps with 315. Smoke that.

Read over the progression of posts again. Anyone with half a brain will understand it is you who has been "owned". In intellect and knowledge alone. But I do understand you feel badly, because if I do post video of my squatting with considerable weight, you'll compare the feat with the girl weights you use and contemplate suicide. Poor bastard.
Wait for it, Gloria ...

hahahahhaa, always the same thing, 1)clown makes claim of lift he can't prove in a million years 2)i call him on it and ask for proof 3)claimee mumbles some stupid shit about how he's not on a heavy lifting cycle at the moment, has an injury, cut himself shaving, got in a fight with his girlfriend and on and on 4)i still ask for proof 5)claimee resorts to insults instead of just posting proof
