It's up to you Blutard, get bb into the Olympics. ::)
-
Fuck the olympics. It's all rampant drug use, but bodybuilders are not hypocrits (most of them) So it won't be accepted.
-
well it's kind of an oxymoron..
i think it could get accepted if it wasn't for the drug use in the sport.
on the other hand if it wasnt for the drug use the sport would lose its fans.

Drugs are used in every sport. What's your point?
-
No Olympics without drugs.
-
Posting on Getbig will be an Olympic sport before bodybuilding ever gets there.

nowhere near as much as in bb.
sports in the olympics they are actually tested..
-
well the ifbb flagship show is the world championships.... past winners include the likes of paco, lookin as unatural as ever,,,
as ive always said, bodybuilding will only ever be watched by bodybuilders, ex bodybuilders, bodybuilders famillies etc etc... theres no audience for it, and no one realy wants to see it in the olympics

Yeah, a real shame. No bodybuilding at the Olympics. Can't imagine the outcome after all the drug tests were complete.
Commentator: "Ladies and gentlemen. The 2008 Olympic men's champion is NOBODY? All disqualified due to testing positive for steroids."
Real sham. Sorry, real shame.

Poker first.

You can't test positive if you have your shit in order.

China is a fucking disgrace of all humanity.
lol my Chinese professor last semester, would always bitch to us about how China is better and more free the the US. He said the we are brainwash into believing china isn't basically the great country in the world. :-\
-
Thank god it's not in there, there are already too many "new" sports that have diluted the Olympics. No need for more including BB which is not even verifiably a sport. Not just about the drug use.

Yes, it's sad. It's a shame he passed away without ever seeing bodybuilding at the olympics. R.I.P.

It really is a shame. Bodybuilding is a common sport worldwide (not popular) but common, it exists in many countries all over the world.
And they are saying because steroid use is so rampant in bodybuilding, that is the main reason, but now they are discovering that all these sprinters, weight lifters, etc that have been in the Olympics are on the sauce.
Steroids are used in all sports, so its a shame that bodybuilding gets singled out.
Wish it was in the olympics!
Same with powerlifting!

because your performance in bodybuilding solely depends on your drug stack, not your training or talent. that's why no one wants to see it. hope this helps.

That's bullshit ofcourse. You won't discover your true potential if you don't give your A game.

Well of course you have to train/diet as best you can, but it all comes down to genetics. BB'ing requires no skill. All it requires is will power, determination, drugs and good genetics. The best guy in bb'ing is the guy with the best combo of genetics and drugs. Most sports aren't like that.
-
bb is one of the most ancient sports out there, yet they are not in the olympics....as if the other athletes are "100% natural - hard work" ::)

Weider got Olympic recognition for bodybuilding 10 years ago. The next step was to get the Olympic committee to have a demonstration event for bodybuilding. The committee had to approve it once, have a demonstration game, then vote on it a second time. If it passed all that, then it would have become an Olympic sport.
Unfortunately, the IOC president (who was a friend of Ben Weider) retired. His replacement gave bodybuilding the axe (take a wild guess as to why). The sad thing is that, with all these Olympic athletes popping positive, you'd think that the IOC prez would be a bit more sensitive. Then again, he's probably under the impression that the ones who get caught are the exception not the norm. Whereas, with bodybuilding, those using anabolics are the norm not the exception. Funnier still is that, with some folks (like Marion Jones), the IOC only knows because the athletes CONFESS, not because they got pinched.

if bodybuilding was in olympics then what guys would represent usa?
i think J Rod and Layne Norton. What are the other top naturals?
