First time using it....ever...
Should my knees be going all the way back to my shoulders?!
-
not sure what kinda legpress youre refering to but in general i tend to go pretty deep but not so deep that my ass lifts from the seat
-
Is it a Precor or Icarian model? Those things are at like a 70 degree slant, usually I can get my knees into my chest, but with those I can only get a 90 degree angle at the knee before my butt starts pulling up off the seat. If your back or glutes leave the seat, you're going too low.

knees to armpits.

knees to armpits.
Not unless you are claiming a 1000+ lb leg press like most. ;D
Quaker is right though, that ROM is what you need to do. If you keep a close stance it will be knees to chest.
-
go as deep as you can until your lowerback starts to round up out of the seat...tha'ts when it gets dangerous. Anything shorter is a waste of time..

knees to armpits.
not necessarily. go as deep as you can WITHOUT letting lower back round up out of the seat (or ass leave the seat)
-
go deeper than branch warren
actually it's hard not to go deeper than branch warren ;D
