Title: Gas Prices
Post by: Hereford on August 11, 2008, 11:20:20 PM: Does it piss anybody else off that the price of oil is down 22% from the $146 high, but prices here in the USA are still over $4 a gallon?

Think somebody is making a killing here??

i was thinking the exact same thing. the 4 largest oil comps made over 35 bil in the first quarter of the year.

But they said last week on the news that it's because of the gas stations greed.... and all the refineries are making 'razor thin' margins.....

bullshit! gas station owners are not getting the profits. Cheveron and Mobile Oil share holders are getting HUGE bucks now. oil is at $114 now. a large drop from only a few weeks ago when it was around 140 i think.

Just a little odd I thought. I think I saw it on MNSBC or something. Seems like y'all should be getting FREE gas and everything else over there...
