There are so many.
I'd go with the following performances:
1. Raging Bull
2. The Godfather Part Two
3. Goodfellas
4. Casino
5. Heat
6. The Deer Hunter
7. Midnight Run
8. Taxi Driver
9. The Kings of Comedy
10. Once Upon a Time in America
His three worst were The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle, Showtime with Eddie Murphy (awful!), and Analyze That was pretty terrible.

He plays the same dark character in ever movie, that ain't a performance, it's a telltale sign of a disturbed man...
Just like Halle Berry plays the same damsel in distress or the tragic Mulatto, and the fact that she can't keep a man in her real life, all point to some serious issues.
One can always look at the roles one plays to get a clue into their mindset
-
Taxi Driver - The scene where Scorcese is in the back seat talking about how he is about to murder his wife, and Bobby D, is up there like "Yeah, go ahead and kill her, why would I give a fuck?"
The Godfather part 2 - The part where he tells the old man his real name right before he guts him and also the seen where he kills the Black Hand guy then jumps up on the roof and disposes of the evidence.
The Fan - The part where he forces his old teamate (I think his name was Coop?) to catch for him while he pitchs to a kid he obviously has kidnapped, then busts him over the head when the kid runs off.
-
'The Fan' was an absolute piece of shit as well.
Big name actor list too...Benicio Del Torro, Snipes, and De Niro.
-
it's sad how down hill deniro has gone.
Great actor back in the day.

Never thought about that much.

Great actor back in the day.
His roles are a bit lighter with more comedy( Show time, Analize this & Analize that, Star dust) etc
But I still like him. :)
