Must feel like shit.
Now he is going to miss out on a olympia paycheck.
Oh well...
All that prep for nothing. Seems like a really cool dude though.

Damn his wife is hot.
-
He probably tore it while he was throwing barbells around his gym. ;D

It was his retarded friend that threw the dumbells >:( ;D
-
Compare the size of his head to Palumbo's. It's like a peanut next to a watermelon.
-
Damn that sucks, I mean falling down the stairs? That's just really unfortunate, and now he's got to sit out the Olympia as anyone would....... well except for Dorian who could still enter and be guaranteed first place (with perfect scores) with muscles torn off the bone. Anyway I hope Branch has a full recovery and is able to compete at 100% again.

At least Branch is honest about being a clumsy bastard. If it was Flex Wheeler he be like "yeah I tore my tricep while rescuing a baby from a burning building."
-

Yeah, that guy seemed like a real angry guy. I hope he never gets a gun.
-
Is nobody else noticing he is breathing like he just ran a marathon? Steroids are good for you.

I think he more has "camera anxiety." I've seen it a million times from everyday people to worldclass athletes to movie stars. Some people get nervous in front of the camera. he is like this every time he's n front of the camera, off season or competition weight.

"camera anxiety".... really?
hmm.... now, you SURE its not that test, deca, winny, dbol, insulin, gh, halo combination hes been abusing for years? hmm.. camera anxiety. makes sense
-
that sucks
...these guys muscles tear relatively easily :-\
-
that sucks
...these guys muscles tear relatively easily :-\
strong muscle and a weak tendons, = all drugs.
-
its not that they "tear easily", its just the menality the roids induce of being able to lift massive amounts of weight, which especially in off season, they are so engulfed with fluids/water it provides a "coating", but a la dorian, this proves to be false.
-
Weak tendons dried up exactly!! ;)
-
Anyone know the doctor (or clinic) that fixed it?
Finding a very experienced surgeon is so important with an athlete that tears a muscle, particularly a BBer where function and shape is important to return.
-
Ok, r u fck*ng serious?
I'm calling bs on his excuse. You know how many falls I've had? Off the back of a truck, ladders, roofs. I dont know anyone that has fallen down some stairs and done that much damage.
Yeah he does seem like a chill dude but I'm not buying the story. Sorry.....

Branch is a pretty nice guy, from the two times I was at Metroflex the same time he was training. Don't bother him when he's training though, god damn he does get intense. I remember he was doing back that day, and he got to something like 6 plates on deads for 6 reps.
It'weird, because that is when Jacobs was training with Branch.
-
Goodrum did the same thing remember. But he fell up the stairs and hurt himself
-
Yeah, that guy seemed like a real angry guy. I hope he never gets a gun.
Wow, that was fucked up :o
-
Sounds like a BS story to me.
Any of you remember that Ironman interview where the guy told how much the Pros usually use?
In that interview he states "You hear BBers talk all the time about they break their leg or whatever, that's not them actually breaking their leg. It's them not being able to pay their drug bill."
Never let the truth get in the way of a good story. (I can't see Branch getting his ass kicked by too many people...but something certainly doesn't make sense of his story).

There was one moment where I think an investigator might have smelled story confusion. His woman was home when he fell. She said something like "he told me he fell and broke his arm".
Maybe he's the manly type would could fall down steps and break his arm (he thought he did) then pull himself up and find her and tell her what happened. Most mortals would yell for their partner to come give them a hand up. If you fall down 12 steps and you're in excrutiating pain, as Brance said he was, wouldn't you summon the woman with a "Babe, help a brother out?"
It could be a true story. He's big and doesn't move too gracefully. Most accidents do occur in the home. You toss in clen, eca, etc and the mind isn't the clearest thing. But that one part of the story made me hesitate for a second as well.

nah... he woulda came up with a better lie if he was.

i caught that as well .................("he called me and told me he fell" ) branch just finished saying she was home
-
240,
If he is lying, then "what" would he exactly be trying to cover up? Why couldnt he just say he tore it in gym doing some exercise? Would it be:
1-he doesnt want ppl to think he doesnt know how to properly execute the movement
2-what would the negative be about telling truth?
-

Someone else made a good point about not being able to cover the "drug bill" for two very good reasons:
1. They're going to spend the "drug fund" on her Ms. O prep
2. He just sold his personal training company, so they're prob going to be a little tight for a while.
Also, when someone falls down stairs, isn't more like a tumble than just a straight 10 foot drop?! :-\
-
called as in called for her
ahhhh gotcha................ju st thought as 99% of bodybuilders don't have health insurance
he was saying it happened at home when it really didn't???
conspiracy theories are always fun!

Branch is a pretty intelligent when it comes to priorities. Him and his wife probably have insurance.

k my bad then
-
called as in called for her
I think the conspiracy theory is a bit unlikely, from what I've heard Branch has a shipping business and just sold his training business so paying his drug dealer may not have been a problem at the moment, also a dealer would have broken a bone (Flex Wheeler) rather than tear a tricep.

Hey, we're all just theorizing here. I have no idea. It's not like he was wrapped up with shady characters, right?

Hi Dave jacobs!
Why couldnt he just say he tore it in gym doing some exercise?
Maybe there are insurance reasons. Maybe all his bills are paid if he is hurt at home and none are paid if he hurt it at the gym. Who knows.
1-he doesnt want ppl to think he doesnt know how to properly execute the movement
Silly.
2-what would the negative be about telling truth?
Another thing we couldn't possibly know.
Look, he probably fell at home and hurt it. But for gossip & discussions' sake, when you have two people, you have two stories, and that was an awkward moment they had, describing how she found out..... well, it opens the door up to 'what ifs'. Branch was mixed up with Dave jacobs... hell, they were trianing partners. Doesn't mean a thing, or it could be something.
Bottom line is, it's his business, but to the casual listener, the story does make you smirk a bit and wonder what they're hiding ;)

He's one of the few that I can respect. I seen a short documentary on him and the way he conducts his life through business and knowing you can't make a long time living in bodybuilding and uses the money from bodybuilding to invest in his trucking business....smart guy.
But I have one question about Polumbo. Why does his microphone resemble a phallic symbol?
-
Monster chest on Branch.

IT'A OVER NOW FOR HIM...ONCE YOUR TENDONS AND LIGAMENTS START TEARING (DEGRADING)...YOUR WHOLE BODY HAS REACHED IT LIMIT AND IS NOW BREAKING DOWN. NORMALLY BONES WILL BREAK LONG BEFORE A TENDON OR LIGAMENT TEARS... WITH ALL OF THE DRUG USAGE HIS LIGAMENTS AND TENDONS HAVE BEEN WEAKENED AND ARE NOW IN A FRAIL STATE. THIS IS THE SAME THING THAT HAPPENED TO VICTOR MARTINEZ AND QUITE A FEW OTHER BBs... HOPE HE TAKES THE HINK AND EXITS BEFORE MORE SERIOUS COMPLICATIONS SURFACE...
-
fall down 10 stairs, reach your arm out to try and break your fall, and see what happens bright eyes. ;)

Palumbo liketh teh cocketh.
-
How can you truly trust two junkies?
-
So this same guy in the vid fell down some stairs and mutilated his tricep? I love it! I cant get over it!

LOL you can't ;D
-
He will never look the same.
-
He will never look the same.
I dont think it will make much of a difference, he's already torn the other tricep, a bicep, and a lat. :-\
-
The way Branch trains is too damn dangerous. Those lightening fast, piston like reps don't work for most people not named Ronnie Coleman. It's a sure fire way to weaken joints and tendons.
-

With that torn lat you can already see that side of his body is in atrophy.
-

Yea, and what's sad is that with the lat visibly torn and symmetry horribly off, he somehow won the NY Pro lst year. :-\
Muscletech, anyone?? :-X

seriously....
...my buddy fell down the stairs and tore his bicep as he tried to catch himself. why is it so unbelievable?
another guy at my old gym had a partially torn bicep from missing a hook while sparring (cage fighter tough guy)
the point is...shit happens
