Title: Chick; Do you have an opinion on the 'insulin program'???
Post by: New Hank Wood on August 18, 2008, 06:04:34 PM
The 'insulin program' seems to be gathering momentum.

Certain gurus of the sport, are using their seminars and message boards to promote this contentious program!

Chick, what are your thoughts on these so-called-drug-gurus 'pushing' the insulin program?

I believe insulin should 'only' be used if you are a diabetic.

These gurus are advocating insulin-use pre-workout.

Jesus Christ, they know the health risks yet still peddle/advocate this frighteningly dangerous substance.

Insulin works.  Is it insane and stupid? sure.  Does it bring in guys bigger than ever?  yes.

Have we seen guys all turn diabetic from it?  No, and we may never.

Over time, insulin tends to 'screw up' physiques!

Insulin is dangerous.

I just don't like where this sport is heading.

Too much of a hit and miss approach from what I've seen....I've seen it ruin more physiques than it has helped....seems to be soley dependant on how "insulin sensative" a given athlete is....

Insulin certainly has the potential to totally 'screw up' physiques.

On a side note, i believe 'these people' who are promoting the use of insulin and its subsequent 'pre-workout program' should be cited for criminal malpractice.

Yes, in this day and age it just baffles me how these drug gurus get away with it!!!!

That's because they're NOT "drug gurus"...in this industry, they're "nutritionists"  ;)

These pre contest gurus must be brought to account.  Their 'word' does have an influence.  I am afraid of this influence.

Surely the IFBB is concerned about this 'rogue element'; and their advocation for the 'insulin program.

Furthermore, why  are they (IFBB)  sitting on their hands and pretending it doesn't exist?

It doesn't harm one when it is used correctly.

Don't be upset about nothing.

we know how Bbers will have kidney failure during pre-contest diuretic use and it's always "genetic".  Or a 30 year old BBer having a heart atack, it's 'genetic'.

We might seen 20 guys all develope typ1 diabetes in 10 years, and it'll all be genetic.

nobody wants to detroy their legacy and reputation by admitting BBing screwed them up.

Really? I think there has got to be something in a contract they sign to compete about NOT being able to disclose that information.  I mean after all the health problems that we've seen, don't you think there would've at least been a couple of guys not selfish enough to come out and do all they can to keep young guys from going down that path?  :-\

i think they HAVE to keep their mouth shut...which is why TITUS, facing life in prison, is finally opening up and speaking out against pro bodybuilding. It just sucks that it takes such an extreme situation for that to happen, maybe it will result in keeping at least one poor smuck from throwing his life away on such a dangerous endeavor.

why on earth would anyone listen to a convicted murderer, it's just sour grapes, if it was legitimate he'd have brought it up when he was competing.

maybe there's nothing to "speak out" against, these guys are adults, they know what they're getting into, no one is forcing them into this at gunpoint, it's a free country.

I tried slin for the first time early this year. I found it VERY easy to gain size while on it(along with test/Dbol). I DID gain fat, although I wasn't eating completely perfect because I would get so hungry on it it was hard to not eat any fat and to only eat the exact number of carbs per iu etc. At no point did I go hypo or think I was gonna die or any shit like that. I would sometimes get an overwhelming wiped-out tired feeling, similar to how I might feel after like Thanksgiving dinner or something, that was kinda weird.  I had to diet a little after and the fat seemed hard to get rid of at first. Comments I've heard are that I look thick, and that my traps look better.  Next time I use it will probably be a small dose with HGH post workout. I've done HGH @ 4iu/morning, and wanted to try slin alone too before I use them together.
