I've updated the board rules with a rule that is usually taken to be a universal given on all forums. But I've seen a lot of this happening lately so apperantly it needs to be stated.
Off topic posts: Do not post completely off topic replies. Off topic posts that are clearly initiated to derail the thread will be removed. If what you have to say is completely unrelated to the topic, start a new thread.

Exactly what I would expect from a Liberal Moderator like you.
We need the right to change the subject anytime we're wrong lib!!!
(Feel free to delete this ;D)

sticky this for alittle bit.
this rule should be a given, without you saying anything.

Listen, I'm used to hearing "you suck because of 911" every time I ask someone for solid evidence of an outrageous claim they make.
Without hearing that every time, I might grow very bored.

I'll be nice a few times and spilt it when you completely change the subject but I'm ending this bullshit.

hugo chavez is not a messageboard dictator.

thanks fellas. I don't want to change tradition of this board being moderated as least as possible, so this is as minimal common sense type of thing to deal with what I've seen and others have seen as a problem.

{sigh}

I will concede it can be a good thing when and if applied appropriately.
The difficulty thus far is that it has been selectively applied resulting in a tremendous unfairness,
and giving credibility to unqualified bias based on ignorance and/or personal agenda. Hopefully this will change. :)
