If you had $1 million dollars in 2000, its value is now down 41% due to the dollar weakening.
It's now worth $590,000, barring interest.
The repiublicans owned the white house, and congress for 75% of the time, and the value of your money went down 41% under the Bush Presidency. This isn't debateable, it's a simple fact. Dollar down 41% against the Euro.
Will Obama raise your taxes by 41%?

Another simple fact..
Wasn't the largest decrease in value in the last two years when the Dems took congress? ;D
"The percentage of voters who give Congress good or excellent ratings has fallen to single digits for the first time in Rasmussen Reports tracking history. This month, just 9% say Congress is doing a good or excellent job. Most voters (52%) say Congress is doing a poor job, which ties the record high in that dubious category.
Last month, 11% of voters gave the legislature good or excellent ratings. Congress has not received higher than a 15% approval rating since the beginning of 2008."
You're showing your liberal agenda 240. Very biased indeed.

I ain't gonna have no capital gains if either of them get elected.
Our best bet is to get Romney in as VP and have everyone convert to Moneyism, er, Mormonism.

What has congress done that has directly caused this?

Fixed
Try hiding your bias a little better by questioning the arguments of BOTH sides.

No, no, no. Seriously. You said, congress. What have they directly done to cause this?
If you are just placing blame on them that's one thing, which may be much of what people have done with BUSH. But if they really have done something, I'd like to hear it.

That wasn't my point (although it is my opinion).
If 240 backs up his accusation then I'll be more than happy to do the same.

Ok well, i was just asking you.

We can technically "blame" Congress for at least some financial woes because they pass an annual budget. The president can only recommend or veto.
