If you have always been in shape, your body gets so used to the feelings of physical goodness, that you know nothing else.
If you are one of those fellows who is in top shape half the year...take a break the other half, then you can appreciate feeling great, and then not so great, and you KNOW the difference.
If you have ever been like me, however, where you have had to stop training COMPLETELY for 9 months...and have fallen into the worst shape of your life, the saddest thing is the biofeedback of feeling lousy becomes noemal.
You think feeling crappy is fine, and you don't notice the badness any longer.
This is very dangerous.
I have seen many patients over the years who are 300 pounds, smoke, drink, whatever, and they thing
"Feeling shiity is 'feeling fine'..."
This is very dangerous.
Watch your biofeedback.
What your body is telling you.
What does your body tell YOU these days?

You fellows should ponder this for yourselves.
It is very important.

Same here.
I had an university exam this year and stopped 4 weeks training, spend all the time learning at home. I felt like shit.
On the other hand, i have been to Japan for 4 weeks, did not train in a gym but used the time to heal up, eat good food, train a bit without weights, take long walks and i felt great but i definitly feel better when busting my ass off 5 times a week in the gym.
I think i'm addicted to lifting.

My first trimester in chiro school...I went from 18 credits in Undergrad, to 30 credits in Chiro...it was fucking UNREAL... and I came out of the moist challenging major in my uindergrad.... STOPPED training completely...pulled like a 2.7 after studying and NO LIFTING...got badly out of shape...talking going from competing to having a HANGING GUT.....
Next trimester I said FUCK THIS...enjoyed myself a bit, trained, studied hard... still like 27 credits...pulled dean's list...lived life the way its supposed to be lived...at ALL times!
-
i would never let myself go so far to getting a gut though.

I know...I was only 23, went from qualifying for the nationals at 22....to having a hanging gut ONE year later....but I qickly chnaged this...I went home for break after first trimester....and I looked liked frist trmester pregnancy...skinny fat...Rich Montanari, who owned East Coast Power Gym and later became Gold's New Haven'''looked at me and said.."what the Fuck?"
I hadda re-energize and I quickly did
other than sickness/injury...I have never ever let this happen again

-
Speak on it. What ails you at the moment?
You lose your health
You lose control
whether you like it or not
Your path
is no longer truly directed by you
That is where I am at
for now
Deep in the dark recesses of my mind
I know
I will rise again
to fight
Another day
Please accept
the words
of one who knows.

They say we won't control 99% of what happens to us. From the womb to the tomb, most of our day is determined by fate or the actions of others.
Is it true?
Your situation... you're medicated, business put on hold, you cannot lift.
What caused this?

Very good question.
I feel that we all end up where we are supposed to be.

Relationships to a min imum

Where are you today, and where do you want to be:
Relationship
Career
Physically
Mentally
?

Where are you today, and where do you want to be:
Relationship
I don't mind being isolated. I do better and think better. When you are sickl, it is hard on the female...Carol right now has hung with me...you are only as good as those you are surrounded by...so she is a gem...we shall see if she can stick with me,.,I had a girl that jumped ship many years ago when I was on death's bed...so I am a bit jaded/cynical
Career
Well, I have kjept the practice...too much work and emotional attachgment to dump/sell...but I see myself more on the marketing end of things as I go on. whioch was my plan pre-disablement, anyhow
Physically
Man, I JUST want to feel good again.
I likely would want to get into Ironman trtarining or something very cfhallenging. BB is likley oiut for good due to heart issues.
Mentally
This isd the biggest thgingh. I have always had strength and solvency of mind.
Not now...nmo9t as good as usual...too dependent on physical/surgical/ medicinal outcopmes/ etc
GOTTA break free ofg tyhsat
the worst thing about pain
is not the hurting
it is the fracturing
of the ability to concentrate
I know
You understand this
Robert

I hear you. Without mental capacity, you lose it all.
Best wishes in getting through it.

thats why its always good to have an outside perception for someone else to really evaluate your physique...
Sometimes if u hang with fatties you start to assume you're in good shape when you are not at all, you just begin to compare your body to theres.
Hang out with people with good bodies and slowly you will want to look and be like them
Don't hang out with a losers, you will become one yourself!

So, so true.
Carol is staring a new business. I have been taking her to lunch with very successful business people.
She is understansding that you are only as good as the people around you, and you want people better than you around you.

Agreed, that way you will always see yourself as pathetic and inferior :P and therefore you will thrive to be better and overtake them.
