Title: Sad news.

Last night former Portland Trailblazer Kevin Duckworth passed away at the age of 44.  He will be missed by many blazer fans.  Cause of death at this point is unknown but he did put on a lot of weight in his retirement. 

RIP Duck.

Duck was awesome.

Sounds like life was less than stellar once he left PTLD tho...

Duck was a cool guy and about 8 years ago maybe more?? He still had his number openly published in the portland phone book. I couldn't believe it when I called and asked for him and he was like this is Kevin who is this? I told him just some retarded college kid who couldn't believe he had his number in the phone book. Needless to say the guy was way cool and talked to me for 30 minutes or so. Hell of a cool guy RIP!

I got Ducks autograph when I was in Jr. high back in OR.

Looks like it was a heart condition.

Looks like it was a heart condition.

The Oregon State Police said Wednesday the autopsy was done by Dr. Larry Lewman, a state medical examiner who concluded that Duckworth died of "hypertrophic cardiomyopathy with congestive heart failure."
The police statement says the heart disease had combined with high blood pressure to result in "marked enlargement of his heart which had been failing for some time."
