A BBC presenter has attacked coverage of Afghanistan's ongoing war, claiming TV reporters are not covering the 'humanity of the Taliban'.
Lyse Doucet, a presenter and correspondent on BBC World News, was speaking at a discussion of TV reporting of the war in the country.
Doucet, who has been at the BBC since 1983, also spoke out against the nature of the reports on Prince Harry's deployment in Afghanistan.

Very nice! Maybe history lessons should be teaching the humanity of the Nazis and Pol Pot?

You brits put up with too much whining.

Thats just outrageous. Man, Britian is such a great country (visited last year) but why is there radical muslim sympathy? Unacceptible. Many people don't even want to go to east london because of what it has turned into.
I must say, I loved England otherwise...so beautiful and full of history. The countryside is amazing and London was kick ass. The tube is the most efficient means of public transportation I have ever seen.

Blame the desire to be ultra-PC and they continue to pump the multicultural dream down our necks (at the expense of British culture of course).
We've gone from giving the world the world, creating English common laws that give rights to the common man, inventing a shit-load of stuff, winning wars against tyrants to neglecting all that, and even censoring it so we don't offend the muslim immigrants.

If there is any humanity to be found in the Taliban, ...it should be shown.
In so doing, it pre-empts any possible wholesale rejections of justifiable condemnations of Taliban activities.
If you tell the truth about any organization, ...both good and bad, ...it becomes easier for people to sort out just where their allegiances should fall. It is possible for people to accept the good, ...reject the bad, ...and to even co-opt or incorporate admirable traits & characteristics that they find in their enemy (if there's any to be found) ...and to reject the negative and contemptible aspects of the group.

taleban were valid world partners with the USA from 98 til 2001.
we broke it off right before 9/11 when they screwed us on the pipeline deal. we told them to prepare for a 'carpet of bombs'.
911 let us deliver that carpet.

So you're all for teaching children the positives of Nazism and ethnic genocide?

Jag, that is a good idea in theory... but they are a terrorist group that kills innocent people in the name of their misguided religious philosophy. The internet beheadings were enough for me.
