People don't read what's inside the magazine; they read what's on the cover and even though the articel inside told a different story. It still revved up the fact hat Wolf wasn't compared to me and that there should have been a comparison. But I didn't know Wolf was even in the damn prejudging, to be honest with you. I didn't even know he was in the night show. I wasn't paying attention. All I cared about was me and Victor 'cause I knew we were one and two. When all these people talking about the posedown and Wolf following me around, I had no idea the guy was even there.
Dex: So this is gonna be a easy victory for you. All you gonna think about is you this year? nobody else?
Jay; No, I just think about being my best 'cause thats what wins.

That was never the criticism against him. If he's in shape, you can justify the combination of huge size and condition over his ugly physique. If he's smooth like last year, it's harder to defend it.

i can understand him defending himself if he was in shape the previous show. but come on, his left arm and shoulder looked 20 weeks out. he was beat by at least 2 people, maybe 3. i know he cant admit that but still. shut your mouth, dont say a thing and dominate the next one if your so good. i respect the guy but if i lost that bad id hope id have the decency to admit it. it would be hard but the tape dont lie. he beat every one in the rear lat spread and that was it. hope this years O is a little better. but i dont expect it to be.

All this sounds out of character for Jay. Either Flex has misrepresented Jay or somehow provoked him into saying this, or Jay has changed personality lately.

its funny, because Dennis Wolf talks almost no shit (he barely speaks english as it is) and these guys are bashing him up an down. and this is surprising b/c Jay has a pretty cool personality, and Dex is the one known for being a douchebag.

Really though, the guy went from 15th to 5th. And don't forget about Ronnie's 4th place gift and Jay's 1st place gift... Dennis Wolf was 2nd-3rd IMO. Victor obviously being the winner, and Dexter and Dennis being toss-ups for 2nd-3rd.

Wolf is the biggest threat, other than Dex, there is right now.
Wolf will always beat Heath. Wolf's width will literally over shadow Heath.
If Vic is back next year, it will be close between him, wolf and dex (provided Jay has retired).
Wolf won't win it this year, he may not win it next year, but he WILL be a Mr Olympia one day. And he's only 28, he has all the time in the world...

Jay= Wide waist and too smooth (last olympia), ugly quads, otherwise not bad. The waist does give him a blocky look though. I prefer Wolfe's physique.

Victor....high calves though better than wolf and though he's a felon you have to remember he's already won the Arnold Classic so I doubt it's a factor

In the old days I would definitely have agreed with you, Moose..but now it would seem anything goes(except competing in a rival organization). The recent winner of the New York pro show is on websites inserting his genitalia into a defenseless citrus fruit and also displaying his wiener in some sort of bizarre leather device. The IFBB doesn't seem to mind. Denise Masino and many other female pros pose and do vidoes proudly displaying graphic views of their deformed steroid enlarged sex organs along with hardcore pornography...and no penalties from the IFBB. But in the mid 70's, Serge Nubret did a simulated non-graphic sex scene in an R rated film and was immediately banned from the IFBB. How times have changed. Hell, if Craig Titus got parolled, they'd even let him win a show.

Wolfe is highly overrated.
He lacks the thickness and muscular maturity that comes with the seniority of guys like Jay.
He's the Paul Dillett of our time; big and impressive at a glance, but not so much to the discerning eye.
On closer inspection, it's obvious that there's something missing - a certain 'depth' to the muscles.
People feel the need to hype this guy and pretend he's better than he is, because there would be nothing to talk about otherwise.

The difference between a juicer that's been using since day 1, and a guy with rippling striations a la Yates is tremendous.

I just got back from spending 4 days shooting video of Dennis for Muscular Development and he is certainly not "hype". With 5 weeks to go he was bigger and harder than he was onstage last year.

Wolf was incredible last year. He has the whole package. It's pretty much agreed across the board.
I don't see him being given 1st, he's German and doesn't speak English, and Jay is an all-American white boy. It sucks.

i agree wolf made huge gains and i think his lower back will come and calves will to in time because the mans tall. im 6 foot 2 and my calves take forever to grow and one of my lifting partners is 5 foot 6 and his calves grow like weeds and he has better genetics.
also wolf is not sponsored by muscle tech and from germany so those are two huge factors playing against him as a young bodybuilder..
this is probably the first olympia im not that excited for...

Dennis will be exposed for lack of shape - however he has better shape that Jay !
Your currently champion shouldn't be so concerned with covers , or make comments about athletes chasing his current crown.
When Dennis Stands next to people Taller than him his Weakness are exposed ( someone 6 or taller) , smaller waist and with more size.
Dexter is the pure giant Killer - He has beaten everyone now - including Ronnie!
Jay has beaten everyone - however has the most pressure since we know refinement is not in the cards but just the barney rubble stomp!
That was great when he was the Underdog - we all understood he had to get bigger to beat Ronnie but Ronnie is not here - so NOW HIS BODY IS NOT THE DESIRED BODY!
