Title: Palin the Puppet? Gaffe #1 has arrived
Post by: 240 is Back on August 29, 2008, 09:45:49 AM
She didn't look comfortable at all out there.  Several times.  Mccain had to "steer" her to face the cameras, take the mic, etc.

Clapping for herself?

Voice shaky.

not a strong speaker at all.

Hyper.  Giggly.  She clapped on the microphone again.

Her husband is an oil man.

Already said "september 11th".   Wait, said September 11th again.

It seems her son both enlisted, and was deployed, on Sept 11th.  Amazing.  Her first gaffe, 90 seconds into a speech.

Kids are named Track and Trigg.  I'm serious.  3 others, I didn't catch their names.

She was an average hockey mom who decided to serve in the PTA.  Then city council.  Then part-time mayor of her town of 6,000 people.

Voice shaky again.  said "Good ol' boy network" and crowd was silent.

her flag pin is HUGE.  ABout 3 inches tall.

Shrill voice.  Points her finger at the crowd a lot.  People won't like that.

She made a fist when talking about Iran.  Overdoing it.
Another fist when talking about Russia.

More finger pointing.  She's gotta stop that.

Swallowing, voice trembling at 12:42... No momentum here.  Coughing now.  No water up there for her.

Must fire hairdresser.  Hair is tied in such a way that bald spot/break on scalp keeps getting shine from lights.

She's sucking up to hilary now.  She wants those voters!  "Grace and determination!  Hilary left 18 million cracks in the glass ceiling - but the women of america aren't finished yet - I am the one chance - we can shatter that class ceiling after all!"

More finger pointing.  Very principal-like.

"Thank you, and I God Bless You" ... Huh?

You could do the same thing with almost any political figure, esp Obama.  You're showing your true colors.

As opposed to a socialist and deceitful nincompoop interviewing for the same?  C'mon man, you're not nearly as objective when comparing these candidates as you pretend to be.

Or you could say her image might improve greatly by November.  Doesn't matter since as far as a strategic move is concerned this is excellent for conservatives.

Rest assured, there will be plenty of Biden gaffes, and Obama just can't help himself when he gets "comfortable" around his elitist cronies.  I really like Joe Biden as a person, but the man just doesn't know when to shut up, so he's guaranteed to say something stupid.  Although now that he's a VP candidate, it's likely that the MSM will place Biden on an untouchable cloud much like they have for Obama.  MSNBC has been just downright shameful.

She is a nice looking lady, which is good for the public attention.

I have a hard time believing 240s body language analysis.

"Her boobs seemed to move with her torso, I think she is lying, wait now she blinked twice that is code for something"

Why don't we all join hands and call Obama a socialist?  I wish he were one.  But he's not.

Is Sarah the most qualified person to be VP?

I don't think so.

But what about Obama and his lack of experience?  Yeah I don't know.  Tens of thousands of people trek to see the man speak.  He's got something going on.

Populist issues sell.  Obama knows that.

Let McCain keep pitching to all those worth 5 million+.

Personally, I think she's a horrible choice.

Anyways nobody really cares about who the VP is except for people like us.

Yeah ok numnuts.. Obama is the most left wing of any of the candidates this year.  Liberalism is already borderline socialism and he's the tip of that spear.  Not to mention how hard he's been trying to hide is true intentions.

Being trendy and popular as a celebrity, mostly amongst young people with no clue as to politics, isn't going to win him the spot.

I know a lot of people voting for McCain and none of them make $5 mil so you can keep whining about his pick but let's just wait and see what happens, ok? ;D

No, Hugo, that's not what I mean.

I know that 240's a fiscal conservative and a social liberal (like me) and that he loves his guns.

What I am saying is that 240 tries to come off as balanced and point out the good and bad in both parties but lately he's been on a McCain bashing streak.

You're pissy today. Hangover?

Obama is hardly a lock for this position. Please explain why he's been DEADLOCKED WITH McCAIN for the past couple of months.

And, keep in mind, this has been so, despite the fact that the social conservatives and evangelicals haven't been all that enthusiatic about McCain. If this pick gets that base fired up (along with a handful of Hilary voters), we'll be hearing the same type of blubbering from liberals that we did, when Kerry got beat in 2004.

U guys don't get it, Obama just got bumped from the news cycle.......its going to be all Palin all the time....u have Pallin, Gustav and the RNC all coming up....CNN has been wall to wall Pallin.....brillant. Plus look at the pics they ran...her in Iraq with troops...overseas.....pe rfect. Obama's team released some sputtering response to the selection....they couldn't even call her governor. She's kicked some ass in Alaska, things that can be pointed to....nothing Obama has done can really be pointed to...since Harvard. She's been a leader, in a postion of command.

Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency. Governor Palin shares John McCain’s commitment to overturning Roe v. Wade, the agenda of Big Oil and continuing George Bush’s failed economic policies — that’s not the change we need, it’s just more of the same,” said Bill Burton, Obama Campaign Spokesman

then from McCains folks...

“It is pretty audacious for the Obama campaign to say that Governor Palin is not qualified to be Vice President. She has a record of accomplishment that Senator Obama simply cannot match. Governor Palin has spent her time in office shaking up government in Alaska and actually achieving results -- whether it’s taking on corruption, passing ethics reform or stopping wasteful spending and the ‘bridge to nowhere.’ Senator Obama has spent his time in office running for President.” --Jill Hazelbaker, McCain Communications Director

There was nothing wrong with her speech.  I was impressed by what she had to say and she seemed to have great presence.  She will draw a lot of women to their side, which is great for McCain.

One observation though, I saw Mrs. McCain in a cast.  Looks like she acted up and McC had to smack that c.unt around.  Lol

There's no "buzz" involved. Six months ago, Obama led decisively in nearly every poll. And the liberals weren't shy about mentioning it.

Now, (with the exception of this DNC "bounce", which will be countered in a week by the RNC "bounce") Obama is either barely ahead of, trailing, or tied with McCain.

This is going to be a fight to the finish, REGARDLESS of who wins. Your foolish claim of this being a lock for Obama is one that may bite you in two months.

- Al Gore was supposed to be lock in 2000, inheriting all the wonderful shangri-la prosperity of Bill Clinton. Bush WON!!!

- The ecomony, the Iraq War, the deficit, and the Dems being "robbed in 2000 was supposed to spell the end of George Bush in 2004. Bush WON AGAIN!!!

- If Obama doesn't get the job done, what will be the excuse(s) fuming from liberal lips, about an election that was supposed to be "set in motion a long time ago"?
