In response to numerous Pm's and emails I've received..
Apparently, the same guy won the Masters and Overall N.A. championships, here's how it works (as far as I know)
It wouldn't matter if the same guy won 3 "pro cards" in one night....you're not a pro until you win a pro-qualifyer...AND...submit to be accepted as a pro, which entails a letter requesting the IFBB recognize and accept you into the club.

Chick, I want to send in my "letter" requesting Pro Status, can you please furnish me the IFBB's address.
Thanks in advance.

The IFBB is kind of a pick and choose thing, isn't it? Lee Priest won Mr.Australia 3 times I believe and they wouldn't let him in because he's too young. If I was to win Mr.Canada at say 25 years old, would they grant me a pro card indefinitely?

Well, actually I was hoping to do what Milos did, just send in an 8x10 to Ben and ask for "Pro" status.
If they did it for Milos in 1990, why not for me today :D

Depends on where and what IFBB affiliate you're under...it's gets confusing when it comes to the European shows, Canada, EFBB, etc..... in the states, it's pretty cut and dry.

If I were Lee Banks I would be mad as hell.. If you commit to a certain class then you should not be allowed to cross over. Lee got robbed...

They shouldn't award pro status to competitors over the age of 40. It's not the Senior PGA.
-
Do you still get a pro card for winning the Team Universe?

Ouch.

No one comes to the US to try and turn pro, you can only earn a pro card in the US if you are American, it's been that way for years. Is why the pro ranks are majority American, as majority of cards available are for Americans, worldwide it's all sorts of rules and weird things.
-
Just TOO MANY PRO CARDS! >:(

yeah but he beat guys in the open so it means he is still good enough.
Even if the whole show was pretty weak caliber for a national show

Club sounds horrible, dude. Say federation, or association. C'mon, it's not like the Fraternal Order of Moose, or the Shriner's for God's sake.......

It might take him 16 years to win a pro qualifying show, Bob. Just like it took you 16 years haha

Because of the high number of Prof. Competitors i think the IFBB had to think about to take away the Procard from Competitors who donīt compete for more than 5 years, or never made a Top 15 Placing in a Pro-Show in years. These Athletes should compete again in Amateur shows if they want to re-qualify. In the last Pro-show more than 30 guys hit the stage, which made the show too long and very hard to judge.
There are many Top-Amateurs out there who would beat easy Athletes like Pelletier, Ken Jones, Senior,.....
