Prayer is as useful as giving a haircut to a corpse. It may make the family "feel" better, but it is totally pointless.

Winds at 150 mph sustained, and gusts of 185 mph.
We're getting 40 and 50 mph gusts today from the feeder bands hitting SW Florida, and it's some serious wind.
185 mph gusts are enough to kill a man.

you cna't get zoning for new houses in SW florida that aren't cat-5 rated.
Problem is the old shanties that have been around forever.
my house is cat-5, like this model with an extra BR and den... they can withstand any storm. problem is just roof damage. after charley hit port charlotte, there were thousands of blue tarp roofs, many for over a year.
