Sounds good to me. It will ring in the donations,play on emotions, show leadership, show courage when faced with obstacles. etc.
Question is will it turn out as more of a fundraiser, or a play on comradeship

it may backfire. after 8 years, the people pretty much have Rove's playbook memorised. I am also worried this is a screen to draw dems in and then paint them as the exploiters of tragedy. These hints being dropped by the McCain camp are odd and may be designed to do that. This is a political mine field. I see two ways they can go with this. The dems need to be very carefull how they approach this.
