I’d love to know how setting stuff on fire, destroying people’s business and property, and injuring delegates falls under “free speech”.
They are nothing but nuisances and the only impact that has really been felt is that of the cops’ billy clubs upside their heads.

I could not imagine the mentality behind a group of losers in ski masks making some lame protest. It's at this point where fire hoses don't sound like such a bad option.

some of the people arrested admitted to CNN they were just there for free shit. Thought they could get away with looting due to the small St paul police force. Denver has a much larger force, and brought in cops from all over the state. They knew they'd have 85,000 people in one place that week, and there were more than enough cops to keep everyone in line and keep the bad guys from acting up.
Could it be the repubs just didn't hire enough security? ;)

Joe, if you'll recall Day 1 of the DEM convention - Fox news was ALL OVER small skirmishes in the streets between riot police and a dozen people. I remember posting about it - talking about how their coverage focused on the negative aspects (small crowds of idiots) and every other network focused on what was going on inside the building.
Looks like it's happening again. There are a dozen good stories happening today in St paul and all you can talk about is the pieces of shit who drive in to loot due to reduced polive force. bravo!
