Post by: MattT on September 03, 2008, 04:22:12 PM
Their mic was still on, and the political insiders speak the truth about Palin.  I agree with everything they said, im glad this was caught.  As these Palin lovers need to hear the truth.

What I want to know is.....why is it that someone who lives in Canada, with business interests in Dubai, India, cares so much about U.S. politics?

Peggy Noonan: "It's over"    "The most qualified?  No."

ha ha ha ha  :D

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2008/09/sarah-palins-vp.html

Sarah Palin's selection as VP zinged by veteran GOP aides Peggy Noonan and Mike Murphy

Two Republican message-crafters who are well known within party circles but who in this presidential campaign find themselves outside looking in -- Mike Murphy and Peggy Noonan -- offered unvarnished opinions of the Sarah Palin VP pick today when they thought they were un-miked after an appearance on MSNBC.

The mikes turned out to be hot, their thoughts were not complimentary toward John McCain's choice and the comments quickly made their way onto YouTube.

Murphy terms the Palin pick "cynical;" Noonan says it means the race is "over" (and presumably not in a favorable way for her party).

See below. But be forewarned: Murphy, who worked for McCain previously but won't be anytime soon, and Noonan, famed for crafting George H.W. Bush's" No New Taxes" speech at the 1988 GOP convention and currently a Wall Street Journal columnist, use profanities in expressing themselves.

When will people learn to be careful around mikes? This isn't the 1st time this has occurred ::)

Palin ripped Obama a new asshole and I loved every minute of it. Everybody on MSNBC looked like they just got news that their grandmother died. Far cry from the multiple orgasms Olberman had when Obama did his speech ;D

I think the only reason she's more qualified is that she'll prefer my cumshot, while Obama wouldn't....let alone would I think of giving him one over her.

(not appropriate for the Political Board, but so accurate)

I can't help but to laugh.  This is something you always have to remember when you're miked up.
I can't tell you how many times we've been entertained on the set by sound techs who've recorded all sorts of conversations and sounds coming from live mikes.  it can get so bad that some actors would insist on removing the mikes everytime they went to their trailers if even for a few minutes, or just to go to the bathroom.

Forgetting you're wearing a mike is soooo easy to do, ...especially if the battery pack is on your back.
Not so difficult to forget if the remote battery pack is taped to your thigh, ...but still, gotta be careful.

In this day & age, even the removal of a mike isn't enough. As long as you're on the set, you always have to be concerned about an overhead boom mike, or even the person next to you being miked up.

1. You are not American, your opinion doesn't matter.

2.  Shouldn't you be blowing Will Harris right now?

Don't mind MattT.

He likes Obama, although he has no clue what Obama's policies are.

He just think Obama is "cool" and something "new".

No, MattT is a racist who is feeding his tribalism by bigging up the black dude. Not saying there's anything wrong with that, but those are the facts.

Yes, and Nordic is a racist who is feeding his tribalism by blindly supporting the white dude. Not say there is anything wrong with that, but those are the facts.

Woah cowboy! Where did I say I was a McCain supporter and NOT and Obama supporter?

Laying down the facts isn't racist.

MattT has a persuasion (due to tribalism) for Obama. I'm not saying there is ANYTHING wrong with that, that's how things work, it's natural.

I would say however that tribalism within politics is a place it should never exist, but I myself would never support a muslim politician for example.

"Tribalism"...interesting choice of words.  ::) I just wonder where the "facts" come in to play when you make such assumptions.

There are many white supporters of McCain on this board, and I can say they are all supporting McCain out of tribal loyalties. It is simple FACT...and yes, there IS something wrong with that.  ::)

There certainly are.

Tribalism is what it is, high resolution tribalism.

Because they were upset at how well she performed.  I watched the speach and the pundits on all the networds were in agreement at how great of a job she did.

She sucked. All snide attacks...zero substance. Nothing on healthcare, nothing on fixing the economy.
