BREAKING: Sarah Palin "Winged" Her Speech Because of "Broken" Teleprompter

Halfway through Sarah Palin's speech tonight at the RNC, people following the speech noticed she was deviating from the prepared text.
According to sources close to the McCain campaign, the teleprompter continued scrolling during applause breaks. As a result, half way through the speech, the speech had scrolled significantly from where Governor Palin was in the speech. The malfunction also occurred during Rudy Giuliani's speech, explaining his significant deviations from his speech. [see the update below on this part]
Unfazed, Governor Palin continued, from memory [and relying on her printed text, clearly looking down occasionally at the printed page], to deliver her speech without the teleprompter cued to the appropriate point in her speech.
Contrast this to Barack Obama who, when last his teleprompter malfunctioned, was left stuttering before a crowd unable to advance his speech until the problem was resolved

Too add to that, the copy of the script she was reading from wasn't a clear copy. It was a copy that was in the pocket of one of her people (not sure who) but it was all wrinkled. She basically said "so what, we'll just put a book on top and flatten it out". AWESOME!

Are you a terrible father if your daughter isnt a virgin at 17 and a condom breaks and she gets pregnant? I wouldnt think so. If you abandon her, dont support her, try to hide it, or pressure her to abort it then I would agree.

They fucked up the screen on their biggest speech of the year, and a former newscaster (palin) was able to recover and use notes instead.

Hmm. Probably because, for all his faults (mostly sexual) people genuinely liked Clinton + the economy was doing well, too. You know, when that blowjobgate was on tv I turned to my mom(!) and said 'if that's all a president's guilty of, we're lucky.' Then along comes Bush and Iraq/Afghanistan, Guantanamo, civil and human rights abridgments, etc. Kinda puts things in perspective.

I don't think it was taken lightly at all. He got impeached for lying about it. It was over the news everywhere ALL the time. I don't mind anyone "laying it all out there", but this is a presidential election and we should be talking about how the country is going to be run, not showing every person in the whole auditorium holding that baby like it is a trophy.

They tried over Whitewater and Jennifer Flowers, etc. It cost Newt his job and Clinton prevailed. As for babies, they've always been in elections. Politics is all about power - getting it and then keeping it. If babies need to be used, then so be it.
