the guy was all drugs.

That's essentially true of all bodybuilders.  But how did he get those drugs?  Those are the the colorful stories you may not want to hear.  ;D

dont have to read much further then this

David: Ok, this is a really cool time for me right here. I’m with Ed Connors. He’s like one of the lead guys in the history of the Gold’s Gym Franchise. But, more importantly Ed Connors is the one that found me when I was a nobody trying to scrap for a top 5 finish at the Junior USA. And he pulled me out of the crowd and told me I had all kinds of potential, and if it wasn’t for this guy there’s no way I’d be where I am today. This guy did everything for me and a lot of other people too. He’s done a lot for bodybuilding. What do you think of the Olympia this weekend, Ed?

Have steroids changed in the last 10 years or are guys just taking a lot more of them? Compare, for example, David at 5'6" and Branch Warren at 5'6".   David never came close to having this kind of size or conditioning.  :o

True, but you're not saying Branch is bigger than David because he started training earlier, are you?  When did gh/insulin become popular?  Back in the day David struck a deal for access to drugs and he got them and it's not as if he was afraid of getting too big.

Do you hav ANY IDEA how many times homo Ed has used this line????

I can name at least 15 that I know of PERSONALLY.

Ed is the number 1 schmoe and never saw a blond haired young male BBer he didn't like or couldn't "help".

Ed had more young male BBers crashing at his Venice home than the local Holiday Inn.

BAY, get serious, no one on the pro level today has the condition of guys like Dearth or Gaspari or the others form the 80's. None, including Branch.

Watch that video of Dearth at the 89 nationals and look at the detail in his intercostals and serratus anterior, the cross striations in his thighs, Branch is not even at 70% of that condition.

Branch and the other pros of today look like bloated D bol mosters.

What's the story on Ed Connors?  Does he just like to help up and coming bodybuilders or is he gay?  Seriously, whats the truth here?

Ed Connors, one fo the owners of Gold's Gym from 79-2001, and out Gold's on the map, is a closet homo.

He would approach BBer's who would come to Venice, from all over the USA and the world, for a few days or a few weeks, and would aprroach them and tell them he is "looking to sponsor" promising BBers.

He would also use this opportunity to staff the Gold's Gyms he himself was personally opening. Ed set up nuerous BBers in positions at Gold's Gyms all over CA and the country.

Ed put pro Scott Wilson in San Jose, John Loyd in San Francisco, Walnut Creek and currently Reseda (Jeff King was about to go run Walunt Creek Gold's), Rick Stephenson, Steve Hennenberry ("Tower" on American Gladiators) in San Diego, Barry CLotheir in SF..... this list is long as shit. He is a loser in my book. Reminds me of the homo version of Hugh Heffner. HH is a pathetic joke in my book-sort of liek Donald Trump-buch of old has beens using their money to buy pussy (or dick in Ed's case) and trying to make it look the bitches flock to them because they are hip.....lol.

Ed would also allow ANY of these guys to come down to Venice for the weekend and sleep, for free, at his Venice home.

Does he suck or get sucked?

I don't know if he sucks or gets sucked, because Ed is very closeted.  Who knows, but I for one sure as hell will not be finding outl.

He is also a lying sack of shit businessman and has been sued numerous times. I was burned by Ed the douchebag in s Gold's Gyum deal in the last 80's, and if I could have I would have sued his fag ass off (this was before law school).

Johnny,

You are right..... Branch and King and all the others look like dinosaurs walking around onstage...... conditioning was tops back in the late 80s early 90s. The bodies today are a mess PERIOD...... BRING BACK THE DAYS OF HANEY AND COMPANY. DEXTER, MELVIN, VINNY, AHMED, AND ONLY A FEW OTHERS LOOK GOOD..... anymore it is just a size at all costs game...... the sport is in the dumper unless a select few can change the direction it is in.
