D-bol is a helluva drug! That's one. Two: how come the only guy who looks better before than after is poor ol' Nasser? (Actually, I'm being mean. If you had posted a pics of Flex in '93 and say '99, I would have made the same comment)

By the way still Flex of 99 was better thn Ronnie.. I feel that Ronnie's personality is better but on stage Flex always had the better body..

I beg to differ. Flex had hhis chance in '98 but fucked up his conditioning. In '99, he looked like a parody of his former slef, delts smelled oil a mile away and his conditioning was even worse than the previous year. Cormier should have been second and showed a more pleasing physique than Ronnie. But Ronnie outmassed him by too big a margin.

Great comparison pics there of Dorian, amazing how his body changed though the years even at a higher BW when he hit the thigh and ab pose he 9 times out of 10 looked Impressive, couple of rare pics there also of Milos, and Nasser who looked better b4 he threw all that mass on him.

Ronnie was always a big monster but I never liked his body.. His calves were very small (not only 4 him but 4 any pro. bb even 4 Lee Labrada),.. his ab was bloated (Dorian's ab was bloated too but 4 me it looked better thn Ronnie's),.. also his chest looked bad in the relaxed pose.. By the way wht is wrong wth Nasser's "after" pics.?? I belive he looked v. good..

Agreed, Flex certently looked bigger than he ever did, but those delts sure looked full of something other than muscle and his calves were alittle suspect also, his 1993 A/C shape or Maybe even his 1992 USA shape would have been a better chance against Big Ron in 1999.

Lighterweight Nasser= better proportions, much better waist, more vascularity. I'm not a big Coleman fan but I do think he showed up great in '98. '99 was pretty impressive too and from then on he declined except on certain occasions like the 2001 AC. After that, he just looked like garbage to me.

Most of the big guys can't maintain their good wast when they add more size.. Same story with Dorian and Ronnies, not just Nasser.. Also put in mind that 2 of the above Nasser's (after) pics were during the off season..

Nasser looked 100% BETTER BEFORE!

He looked better before the same way all of them looked better before.. Other than that I don't see why u guys don't like Nasser's transformation but still like the others.. The only one who still looked "good" after transformation in this way would be Frank Zane..

Hey Sherief real late in answering this one been walk-about for a few months :) :) :) Nasser's mass is increadible however just personal prefence in that his lines and mass had a real good flow to it before he really packed the muscle on in 1995-98.

Samir Bannout

Post by: pumpster on April 09, 2009, 11:49:18 AM
Look carefully at the '83 Olympia tape and you see that Fox was physically superior to anyone on stage-bigger and as or more cut than Samir.

The difference in that show and some others is, as an ex-Olympian said to me, that Weider likes good spokesmen for the sport, which Samir could be. Can't blame Weider but it should be part of the judging criteria rather than pretending it isn't.

Samir Bannout
Great early shot of Samir Sherief, the one thing its clear Samir had right from the start it looks clear is confidence by the looks of those early shots, the package he brought to the Olympia in 1983 in my veiw is STILL one of the top 2-3 most complete physqiues ever for a Mr Olympia winner in terms of over all balance and condation.

thx jonny.. i agree with you 100%.. but unfortunately for samir he couldn't repeat the shape of 1983.. he also severely torn his left triceps in a car accident in 1985-86 which greatly affected his career.. samir had also a known problem with his diet that his body always carried water by the time of the show and he couldn't easily get rid of it!!..

Your right Samir didnot repeat his 1983 showing @ the O, his condition was also very good @ the 1982 O, i didn't realise he had a car accident in 85-86 and the water problem he had time after time i recall him talking about in several mags way back when.
