gonna do some high intensity training for my legs today, should be fun. im a little nervous.
ive been doing high intensity training again after laying off it for about a year. i now do it in addition to some regular working sets to make sure my body is still able to function well with heavy weight. its been working out great so far.
gonna do leg extensions, four seconds up, 2 second pause, 4 seconds down. after that set going immediately to leg presses, 4 seconds up, 4 seconds down, no stopping.
after the high intensity training im gonna do some hack squats to finish my legs off.
of course riding my bike to the gym and back(which is gonna be killer). ahhhh good times, good times.

have fun!
thanks man, i sure did.
rode my bike to my workout partners house then to the gym.
did leg extensions 4 seconds up, 2 second pause at top, 4 seconds down to failure! wooo man then i walked real fast over to the leg press where i did the same 4 seconds up, 4 seconds down, continuously without any pause! oh man feeling the lactic acid saturate my quads, damnnn.
i did this for one more set, then finished my legs off with a couple INTENSE sets of some heavy hack squats. could barely get my bike moving when i first got on, damn what a burn.
I FEEL SO ALIVE

there is a guy at my gym that trains that way...and he swears by it...big mofo also...what ever works for you stick with.

I think most guys completely disregard superslow training because they have to use 25% of their normal weights.

Rapid muscle contractions, with medium to near max loads, will influence and call upon new/more muscle fibers very well. Which, in turn, can encourage muscle size and strength better. That said, a few BB'ers may gain some permanent results with the increased blood volume caused by slower reps. The example of 4.2.4.0, as Nodeal posted, maybe a case in point.. Something like the one and one half system which has produced impressive arm gains and other body parts. Hope Nodeal gives a follow up on his training. Good Luck.
