Title: Monkey vs Robot
Post by: Bluto on September 20, 2008, 06:35:09 AM

Monkey play in the jungle
Robot work in the factory
They will have a giant rumble
Monkey Versus Robot
Monkey Versus Robot

Monkey hate technology
Robot hate the monkey
They will fight eternally
Monkey Versus Robot
Monkey Versus Robot

Monkey mate in the jungle
Robot replicate in factory
They both love their mother
Why must they hate eachother?

Why cant we all get along?
Would that be oh so wrong?
Why cant we all love eachother?
Monkey and a robot brother

Monkey Versus Robot
Monkey Versus Robot
Monkey Versus Robot
Monkey Versus Robot

Speaking of the Monkey/Robot genre, have you ever seen King Kong versus Mecha-Kong?

Mecha-Kong is great. Movie historians generally try to box Mecha-Kong into the Mechanized Simian sub-genre of Monkey/Robot.

Let's not forget the great Lizard/Robot genre.
"Lizard hate Robot, Robot hate Lizard.
Cause he's made of Steel
don't know how Lizard feel.
So he hit him more and more
Tries to kill Dinosaur ...etc."

Indeed. There is hardly a genre with more sophistication and societal relevance than Robot/Lizard. However, a brave (albeit rare) director will take on Monkey/Lizard/Robot and be rewarded with a boxoffice goldmine.

Awesome, Phil Tucker's masterpiece. Film historians will debate for years the true significance of a space creature that closely resembles an actor in a gorilla suit wearing a Diving helmet. Incredible brilliance.

I hear Brett Ratner is helming a remake through Viacom.

Phil Tucker's brilliance has touched billions worldwide. While Brett Ratner and Paul Verhoeven can fight over who will helm the much anticipated Robot Monster remake, we can enoy his real lizard and finned alligator battles, not to mention stop-motion Triceratops bouts.
