Hmmmm..............not a very impressive or interesting lineup IMO
-
David Henry and Kevin English for the top 2.

It'll be interesting to compare them to the big boys after!
-

No, it's not.
Shabazz will place out of the top 5 and then run back home to Atlanta and bitch-n-gripe for the next 4 months.
-
Henry should clean house.
-
Jaroslav Horvath is very underrated in my opinion. Would like to see him fighting it out with Henry/Lewis for the top spot
-
you guys are forgetting about English, he won the 202 and under at the New York Pro.
-

x 2
-
where is Lee Priest?
-
Holy crap.. if you're the 3rd best under 202 lb bodybuilder in the world, you don't even earn as much as Mr. GetBig ;D
-
Add Tom Prince to that list ;D
-
Some big money there.
-
D. Henry is way better than anyone in this lineup. Is he doing the 202 show or the main show. Can they do both?
-

Hahahah.....are you fucking kidding me, $7 grand for 1st place and a WHOPPING $3 grand for second place!
That does not even cover the drug cycle for the winner, it does not cover 1/4 of the drug cycle for the runner up.
I swear to God, if these idiot Pro BBer's don't know a scam when it bites them in the friggen ass then they almost deserve to get ripped off.
Who in their right mind would "compete" for that shit prize money??
You might as well call the "Pro's" elephants, because they will work for peanuts. I guess these elephants don't have a problem with it.
-
Some big money there.
1St place, after taxes = $5K
That is about 1.5-2 monhts of living and training costs in So Cal-on the cheap-not including juice.
Add in juice and it is a month's worth of expense.

they ALL have to have regular jobs, no one can live on $0K-$7K 2 or 3 shows per year.

This is an extra part of the show. They can be in both in the qualified for both, otherwise they can choose to compete or not. Not bad for a days work, if you make the top three. Imagine, you can also work a booth, get sponsored by companies, and more.... such is the business.
For this show, I have for the top three...
1) David Herny
2) Flex Lewis
3) Kevin English
-
I have to admit a $7,000 1st prize for the biggest title in bodybuilding is probably the most embarrassing thing ever. Was that a misprint. Should it say $70,000
-
Sad considering Mr.O gets what... $150,000 for first ?
-

I agree. What they should do is just give the top three either NOTHING, use the 202# class as extra promotion, or just give a nominal sum to the top 3, like a grand each (or even 10, 15 grand split evenly 3 ways).
But the money is so small it really takes any legitimacy out of the show.

Are you speaking from experience? So technically they are getting paid 5,000 junior bacon cheeseburgers if my math is correct.
If this "bodybuilding" hobby is so "dumb" then why do you spend all day between shifts at Wendy's posting and ripping aprat this hobby?
5K is not bad winnings for a hobby that you love to do.
-
It would cost you more to "prep" for this show than it's worth

Hahaha...OK Junior Einstein, whatever you say. ::)
Now go back to eating those 5K bacon cheesburgers, I am sure your physique shows the results of it very good.
It would cost you more to "prep" for this show than it's worth
Exactly-so why even do it????
If you do it for fun no problem, but at this level it is for the most part their livelyhood.

Translation: Olympia too scared to compete with everybody else list
-
I also admitted to excessive Nubain use(not a good idea to post pic and admit to illegal activity). If you would like to see me in person I work out at LA Fittness in Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33403 on Corner of Congress and Northlake.
Hahahahah... a "Nubian" addict that works out at "LA Fitness", you must be a beast.
-
Hey guys it's not about the money. It would be an honor or dream just to step on the Mr. "O" stage. I would be on cloud nine just to be apart of the 202lbs. class at the "O". These guys bust there asses off to be the best in the sport and to showcase all of the hard work they have put in over the years. The prize money to me means jack shit, it's all about rocking and rolling on stage and being at your best! True competition.....

Hello? This is not the Mr. Olympia contest. It is a 202lb and Under Contest at the Olympia. There is a difference. I think the Mr. Olympia contest prize money alone is $500K, with an additional $170K or so going to the three women's contests.
In addition, the Olympia 202lb and Under contest is being held in the Las Vegas Convention Center - South Hall, so there is no extra money coming into this event other than the expo cost. So kodus to the promoters for actually putting on this contest, and letting the expo attendees see it for free.

so you're saying short guys should get paid 1/25 of what the tall guys get paid?
-
so you're saying short guys should get paid 1/25 of what the tall guys get paid?
well. they are not as good?
-
well. they are not as good?
Shawn Ray & Lee Priest did pretty well competing with taller guys.
-
Hey Now your right down the street from us (Fitness America Northlake Winn-Dixie Plaza/Marty Vranicar's gym)
why you at "LA-Fitness" ???
-
so you're saying short guys should get paid 1/25 of what the tall guys get paid?
You can be 7 foot tall and compete in this contest. It doesnt say - Short Dudes. It says 202lbs and Under Class. And I am saying is that the Mr. Olympia contest is the best bodybuilding contest for the top rated competitors.
The 202lb and Under is a contest to showcase the competitors that do not wants to be judged on mass, but more on conditioning, and a good shape. And yes, it is for the smaller competitors. The NPC has seven classes to compete in. Here, we can showcase the competitor
And I do agree that as a competitor, you need to choose one or the other, but not compete in both on the same weekend.
-
Regardless of what anyone is saying they need to up the fucking prize money!

yea but if short it's more likely that you weigh less. I doubt anyone in that lineup is what anyone considers tall.
-
1- 7000
2- 3000
3- 2000
what? that is a joke!
-
Hmmmm..............not a very impressive or interesting lineup IMO
maybe you can get on stage and show em how its done ::)
-
whats worse is that even if david henry wins he still gets less than what he did last year as 10th place...... ::)

-
Wow... that's almost as much as the winner of the Mr Getbig takes home!
does the getbig winner though get sponsorships or get noticed worldwide? Dont think so.....when a company I Know sponsors someone they make money off the sponsorship not the winning look at david henry believe it or not he has a good life does not spend on a lambo like king kamali does or a hummer he knows his limits and wants to retire from the sport and be nice and free he gets most of his money from muscletech sponsorhip and the guy has not won a Mr. O or a major compeition for that fact.
-
I think you forgot Hide........ :-\
had some issues last time I talked to him as in he DIDN QUALIFY though he wrote a letter to the IFBB. Milos helped him in fact......
-
1) David Herny
2) Flex Lewis
3) Kevin English
-
Hey Now your right down the street from us (Fitness America Northlake Winn-Dixie Plaza/Marty Vranicar's gym)
why you at "LA-Fitness" ???
I live one mile down congress. It's just one mile from my house. I am thinking of switching gyms though. I will have to check yours out.
-
Hahahahah... a "Nubian" addict that works out at "LA Fitness", you must be a beast.
I am flattered I you have enough time to research me. Now you, are a pathetic loser with waaaayy too much time on your hands. What gym do you train at? Weights are weights I'm sure your broke ass cant even afford a membership, you must do pull ups down at the play ground after you get done walking home to your low income apartment builiding after your shift.
-
1) David Herny
2) Flex Lewis
3) Kevin English
Dave will take the stage. Kevin English should be 2nd and Yaroslav Horvath looks good to deserve 3rd place. Jason or Ray may place 4th

Oh well that is different. Then $7,000 1st prize at pro show is awesome then ::) ::) ::) This makes it even more embarrassing. These guys get to compete for basically no money at the Mr. Olympia yet it isn't really Mr. Olympia for them. Wow pretty good for BB
