It is arguable that, because of his inexperience, Obama is not ready for the presidency. It is arguable that McCain, because of his boiling moralism and bottomless reservoir of certitudes, is not suited to the presidency. Unreadiness can be corrected, although perhaps at great cost, by experience. Can a dismaying temperament be fixed?
ouch.

That's harsh.
I like George Will. My favorite George Will line: football combines the two worst aspects of our society: violence and committee meetings. :)
-
One of the two candidates will inevitably win, so after the election we can only hope that Mr. Will renounces his U.S. citizenship and emigrates to Venezuela, or in a fit of despondency decides to kill himself. :)

Wow, so much love. What an asshole.

Wow - look at that famous liberal George Will slamming McCain and saying Obama appeared more Presidential

Obama seems very intelligent. McCain seems confused and old. I like Obama's Foreign Policy beliefs waaaaaay better than team neocon's start wars and start them often policy. There is a lot to like about Obama over McCain. Is he perfect, oh hell lets cut the shit, when are you ever fucking going to find Mr. Perfect for President. It's not happening. You want the definition of not ready to be president: Look up George W Bush 2000. I have little doubt Obama will be a hell of a lot better than W. or you can go with McSame, and that title IS deserving and we all have seen the stats here that show it. McSame or Obama... I really don't get how this is a hard decision :-\ I really do not want 4 more years of the same bullshit. At least Obama will get in and reverse some things W has done. McCain will get in and gold plate what W did then head in the same direction, that's almost for sure.

Obama's foreign policy isn't much different from McSame's...
Perfect? Ron Paul wasn't but he was the best choice out there...

There is countless stories of McCain blowing his top... Did you ever see the videos of people he was a POW with... they all hated his guts...
-
George Will is a MAJOR Conservative powerhouse. increcible...

Never saw them. I'm not a McCain fan.

Which is exactly why I'm not surprised at all to see him dislike McCain.
That's the thing that always seems to be lost in these discussions - just because you see Obama as a poor Presidential choice, doesn't mean that you are a big McCain fan.

You can't be serious. In case you didn't see the news, Ron isn't an option and as much as I love Ron, I don't consider him perfect either.
I've seen time and time again someone screaming mad over a single issue and use it as reason not to vote for a candidate. Then it doesn't take long, they're screaming mad about one single issue the other guy said at which point they announce both candidates suck. It's not the best way to approach voting. It is infact a terrible way to approach voting.
Another thing that people should not do is form their understanding of a candidate by what they say in the general. If you want to get a good idea of what their policies will actually be like, look at what they said and did BEFORE the election. If you do that, you will see quite a difference between Obama and McCain's foreign policy. Hello, it's a no brainer each side during the general lies out their ass and shifts for votes.
