Title: MAJOR shift
Post by: 240 is Back on September 23, 2008, 08:26:49 PM
I follow these polls every day... McCain was looking GOOD for this win until this past week.

Suddenly, all of the polling aggregate sites are all pointing Obama.

What is the cause?  What will mccain's reaction be?  Is the palin bounce officially over?

in that top one - www.pollster.com - mcCain has had a 7 point lead for quite a few days.  It combines many polls and really shows state-by-state trends.

Mccain's been winning for weeks.  Suddenly, in the last 3-4 days, things have shifted significantly.

Hey, did you hear that Obama has been working closely with William Ayres for years when he flat out denied it?

Hey, did you hear that Obama has been working closely with William Ayres for years when he flat out denied it?

About four million people have changed their vote in the last week, Joe, from McCain to Obama.

Liberal denial is a bitch. If Obama gets elected, well lets just say you get what you voted for.

I'm voting Bob Barr.  This thread was designed to discuss the major shif tin the last week.

It seems people believe that hiding Palin (4 weeks and zero press conferences!) means she isn't ready for the job.

That was before this Ayres news came out today. Again, if the left still vote for Obama after this, its pretty safe to say that they TRULY betraying their country.

Ayres is Old news and is rather funny to me... meet a guy a couple times and he is your "buddie"

Sara Palin and her husband have BROKE THE LAW and IGNORED SUBPONEAS, thats REAL AMERICAN right??? Refuses to testify now with 8 rep and 4 democrats voting 14/0 to bring her in... They have EVIDENCE she abused her power and WILL be removed... Emails, Phone calls recorded, and MANY witnesses.... lets not talk about her children who have terrible drug problems, (good mother worrying about her career and not her family)  and she has DODGED the press for 4 weeks now why???

McCain, Keating 5 ring a bell? A True American.... They are FINALLY talking about the scandal that he was apart of that got coverd up that made our economy damn near crash in the 80s...

John McCains ECONOMY GURU he goes to for his ADVISE WROTE THE DEGREULATION BILL that gave these big companies a FREE PASS...

Im really tired of the GOP bullshit... Next GOP fucker who says ignorant shit to me in person is gonna get cracked in the face, im tried of living in a fucked up mess they made for all of us... and then try playing dumb!!

Changed their vote, really??  Did I miss the election?  ;D

A lot of people have changed their support (at least publically), but come election day many of those people will either a) not vote, or b) vote McCain.

I wonder what happened last week.
A major meltdown in the economy.
where most people blame the republicans.
It is surprising that McCain is even close.

It is also funny that McCain is being held to higher standard for this even though he was one of the people that proposed legislation to stop Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac disaster from happening. Of course the Democrats who have been taking money are silent on all of this.

Americans don't understand the role of government, to blame Bush for this is hilarious, since it was the congress that stopped the new regulations in 2006.

If McCain and Palin get in there the country will go even further down the tubes by a angry old man who is still pissed Americans voted for Bush over him... And Palin will have her religious Nut beliefs in the VP office trying to start wars with Russia and be the "Hockey Mom from Alaska"

Its taken almost 2 years for all the Ayers crap to come out...it took 3 weeks for the media to dredge up bullshit on Palin. Yeah real independent media. 240 when the polls showed Obama taking it in the ass for the last 2 weeks..u said nothing. Now its a big deal. Obama is up by 5 points.....based on  the economic news.  The degate is friday, he has a poor record in the debates up to now....this time next week he could be loosing again.

but i thought the media was all liberal biased? why would they make a huge scene out of something damaging to a democrat?

heres another one for you. Sara Palin's favorite pastor, at a church SHE HERSELF SPEAKS at, performs ACTUAL, REAL-LIFE WITCH HUNTS. but you dont seem to mind that. and the media never made anything out of it. why? it would be very damaging to the right if they blew this up as much as they did wright. i thought they were big liberals?

They did more digging into sarah palin then any of the myriad of scandals that Obama has been tied to. Rezsko, Ayers,Wright. They came kicking and scream to the wright tapes after Fox News began pounding it. CNN was forced to begin coverage after saying it wasn't news.

I would like to hear more from Palin.  It does seem they are protecting her.  I think she is of very good character but needs more experience to be a fully qualified VP candidate.

Heard more about the Ayres/Obama historical connections and its disturbing.  I wouldn't even want to be in the same room as a guy like Ayres but Obama is ok with Ayres serving on the same committes and working with him on school programs.  Horrible.  This guy should not be our president.

This was Wright quoting the Iraqi Prime Minister?:

And the United States of America government, when it came to treating her citizens of Indian descent fairly, she failed. She put them on reservations. When it came to treating her citizens of Japanese descent fairly, she failed. She put them in internment prison camps. When it came to treating her citizens of African descent fairly, America failed. She put them in chains, the government put them on slave quarters, put them on auction blocks, put them in cotton field, put them in inferior schools, put them in substandard housing, put them in scientific experiments, put them in the lowest paying jobs, put them outside the equal protection of the law, kept them out of their racist bastions of higher education and locked them into positions of hopelessness and helplessness. The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing 'God Bless America.' No, no, no, not God Bless America. God damn America — that's in the Bible — for killing innocent people. God damn America, for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America, as long as she tries to act like she is God, and she is supreme. The United States government has failed the vast majority of her citizens of African descent

He looked like a leader in his press conference
He can now almost label this bailout "The Bush/Obama Bailout"

How dare obama work with someone on legislation to help kids who did some crazy things when Obama was ahhhh 6 years old?

HAHA  ;D
Reading these republican meltdowns is almost as good as hearing about McCain paying $5000 for make up from american idol makeup artists and reading Palin's interview with Couric

Katie Couric: If this doesn’t pass, do you think there’s a risk of another Great Depression?

Sarah Palin: Unfortunately, that is the road that America may find itself on. Not necessarily this, as it’s been proposed, has to pass or we’re gonna find ourselves in another Great Depression. But there has to be action taken, bipartisan effort – Congress not pointing fingers at this point at … one another, but finding the solution to this, taking action and being serious about the reforms on Wall Street that are needed.

Its something...and it will show alot of things,

McCain can break with the president.........he does, more so then Obama and his party, but that gets very little play
It shows him taking action, even if its to make sure that the plan has safeguards
It makes Obama say stupid crap like he's on call
