I read about this a few days ago but wasn't sure, now more information is coming out. Personally, I'm still waiting to get more information before I believe it's as extreme as the title suggests.

Its true, 3rd ID has trained up for this. What the morons on the clip don't tell u is that its in response to the failures of Katerina and one of the recommendations from that was that the laws governing deployment of US troops to help be switched to allow for us to repond quicker. The Army Times article focused most of the news on disaster relief efforts, medivac, medical, and law enforcement post disaster. This is not the sole mission of 3rd ID, which is part of 18th Airborne Corps. and the only heavy mech division assigned as a rapid response unit. This is just another mission. 3RD ID will deploy on a normal rotataion for OIF/OEF like everybody else. Don't get ur panties in a bunch. That entire clip was from the Army Times article. ::)
