i think my legs are quite strong, though i still lack the vertical leap
what are ways to improve this?
i have just started doing standing jumps on occasion, just jumping and pulling my knees to my chest and repeating as soon as my feet hit the ground... have also messed around doing sets of jumps from the ground on to a park bench from a standing position, pushing off with both legs simultaneously

Google Plyometrics or Air Alert.

i've got a good vertical leap and used to be awful. Squats, lunges, jump rope, plyometrics, cleans... they all help.

If I may ask, how much do you squat and what is your bodyweight?

well... my heavy lifting days are behind me, but i could rep with 405 for 8-12 on squats. i did about 515 for 3 when i was really lifting-centric. I'm 6' 230 currently (fat for me). I've never been a super heavy lifter. I'm a bit injury prone.
