-

obama should have said , is this a trip down memory lane john or are we gonna talk about the issues?
clearly mcsame knows very little about being president and is looking to squeeze in on the sympathy vote!
-

So you caught the last 30 seconds and came to that conclusion? Everyone knows that Obama kicked his ass but not all will admit it. You will see the polls later I am sure. Gotta wait till 240 can manipulate them first for a few hours

wow we actually agree on something. I got up and took a piss break when mcsame started talking about his old war stories. ::) Thats not going to help Americans keep their homes, or help the economy.
-
Both appeared naive in foreign policy
Obama's thoughts appeared more organized, IMO
-
They should have held the debate in Dubai.
-
fuck his war stories. I am gracious for his patriotism but him being butt fucked in a cage has no bearing on today's issues.
-

"held his won"?
-
"held his won"?
won is kenyan for cock.
His father was from Kenya, thats where he got his name from.

David Gurgin on CNN said it best. Mcsame needed a huge win, and at best it was a tie, and when you're behind you need a big win. Next up its Palin and Biden, so the momentum will continue on with Obama.
-
sounds like there's no clear winner
-
Dubai, India is voting for Mccain

The VP debate will seal it for Obama/Biden.
Biden on CNN now cutting up McCain...lol.

Doesn't anyone else find it hilarious that MattT, who is borderline retarded, is commenting on another country's politics.

Major Gaffe: McCain Said Pakistan Was a Failed State
McCain just badly misstated the history of Pakistan. For someone claiming extensive foreign policy knowledge, this is simply not acceptable. McCain said Pakistan was a failed state before President Musharraf came to power. That is not true.
Musharraf took power in a military coup in 1999 when he diposed Nawaz Sharif - who recently participated in the latest election. The coup followed the 1999 war in Kashmir with India and was due to a power struggle with Sharif, not due to Pakistan being a "failed state." The United States did not welcome the Musharraf coup. Instead the government of the United States imposed sanctions against this action.
Remember Pakistan had nuclear weapons in 1999. Did McCain believe that there was a failed state that possessed nuclear weapons? If he did he showed no concern at the time. The fact is McCain made a huge gaffe and demonstrated he has little understanding if the region.

I set the bar low for obama, as hes not generally good in debates, but he definitely held his own tonight, and thats all he needed to do.
-
i am voting for obama but he did NOT win tonight and it wasnt even close
-
McCain did fin IMO. people were saying that he was going to get slaughtere because debating is not his strong point, it's Obama's. So basically a close debate is good for McCain, it will give him some confidence and he will do better at the next debate. Obama for such a great talker wasn't as good as I thought he would be

Pakistan has been under military leadership for the vast majority of it's history the only real non military leader was Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and he as eventually pushed out of office on trumped up charges and executed.

I didn't watch the whole lot but McCain seemed to rely on scare tactics a whole lot more, from the world to fixating on some small part of Obama's policies.
Obama seemed to have a sensible approach, far to sensible for worldwide politics which is normally 'ignore them or bomb them'
-
Historically, debates mean nothing to the outcome of the election.
-
the winner of the debate is the one who gets the best soundbites played in thier favor on all the news stations, that we will find out over the next few days.
-
Historically, debates mean nothing to the outcome of the election.
What matters most to the outcome of the election then? Just curios.
-
Obama bent McCain over a chair in a Colorado hotel! Barack simply schooled John with thoughtful, rational responses.
-
Debates do matter, buddy who wrote that is from across they pond where they still live in the mid-evil times worshipping kins and queens
-
Same here. I don't think Obama won either. Especially with the comment about his Dad at the end. Let him mention that his Mom is white and in fact married to this black man from Kenya next time. Is this guy crazy for saying that. Every American has the right to vote. Maybe Obama opposers were buying into what he was saying and began to see Obama in a different light? That light was switched off and Obama really showed that he's a black man running for President. Closing statement? Way wrong thing to say.
He didn't lose the debate based off that last comment. He won decisively when it came to discussing the issues.

McCain won the foreign policy discussion by a mile.

Dismiss any poster who said either candidate dominated as completely partisan and not worth debating. Both candidates did what they needed to do - Obama appeared "Presidential" and held his composure and kept his stammering to a minimum. McCain avoided looking completely old and out of touch and gained momentum in the last hour.
It was a draw, which benefits Obama, since he is leading at the moment.
