The Coach is fucking nuts  :o

Dinosaur-like creatures are mentioned in the Bible. The Bible uses ancient names like "behemoth" (beh-HEE-moth) and "tannin." Behemoth means kingly, gigantic beasts. Tannin is a term which includes dragon-like animals and the great sea creatures such as whales, giant squids, and marine reptiles like the plesiosaurs (PLEE-see-oh-sors) that may have become extinct (died out).
The Bible's best description of a dinosaur-like animal is in Job chapter 40...

"Look at the behemoth, which I made along with you and which feed on grass like an ox. What strength he has in his loins, what power in the muscles of his belly! His tail sways like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are close-knit. His bones are tubes of bronze, his limbs like rods of iron. He ranks first among the works of God..."
     -Job 40:15-19 (NIV)

The book of Job is very old, written after the worldwide flood of Noah's time and probably about 2,000 years before Jesus was born. Here God describes a great king of the land animals like some of the biggest dinosaurs, the Diplodocus and Apatosaurus. It was a gigantic plant-eater with great muscles and very strong bones. The long Diplodocus had leg bones so strong that he could have held three others on his back.
The behemoth were not afraid. They did not need to be; they were huge. Behemoth tails were so long and strong that God compared them to cedars--one of the largest and most spectacular trees of the ancient world.

After all the behemoth had died out, many people forgot about them. Dinosaurs were extinct and the fossil skeletons that are in museums today did not begin to be put together until about 150 years ago. Today, some people have mistakenly guessed that the behemoth mentioned in the Bible might be an elephant or a hippopotamus. But those animals do not have tails like the thick, tall trunks of cedar trees!

lol, that is funny.  cool quote from the bible, but they did find these fossils and collect them back then.  The quote notes these creatures rank first of God's creation.  This is interesting because they often kept these found dinosaur fossils in places of worship.  It's not at all unthinkable that they found and were able to envison complete or near complete remains.

I totally understand why Coach is the way he is.  Another Religious nut who thinks we all should follow the bible like he does. Religion influences his politics.

He wants to save a couple thousand a year for his greedy ass and make sure 95% of Americans get fucked.  What would Jesus do?

Read my posts and see if I'm a "religious nut" or not. I am Christian, but I don't push it on people. Nothing wrong with believing in God and the word of God if it makes me a better person. If you knew where I came from and what it took to get me where I'm at now, you might believe as well.

Just because someone posts a scripture or makes an arguement for God or thanks God, doesn't mean they are a "religious nut". Are we clear? But at the same time, I'll take it as a compliment thank you very much.

I believe if they go against what scripture teaches, then no, I don't believe it. I applaud the SF Archdiocese on their stance against Palosi and other Catholic liberals who go against scripture. I FIRMLY believe Obama has one foot in hell as we speak. His abortion record speaks for itself.

Is anti-war in scripture? Not that I'm aware of. But for the record, everyone is anti-war despite what you might think.

How many Christians end up going against scripture at some point?  Isn't that most if not all?  If you say they don't, why did Jesus have to die?

???

I don't follow.  bush doctrine calls for destroying leadership of any nation which might be a threat in the future.  This is troubling for many who are religious, as it is along the lines of "An eye of a maybe-an-eye-someday".

It's doubly troubling because when you look at what's going on right now, ...America is fast becoming a 2nd world country, is Mccain gets in, it will be no doubt a 3rd world country, ...  does that mean they blow up the frikkin planet because at the rate that they're sinking Uzbekistan may one day over power them? Remember how threatened they felt by Grenada?  ::)

Yes, no doubt. We all go against scripture to a certain point. But most realize what is a sin and what is not. If you continue to knowingly sin over and over again without repentance or remorse then IMO you are just going against Gods word. If Obama was a true Christian like he says, then the abortion issue wouldn't be a problem as an example.

Bush Doctrine is a doctrine of preemption.  It basically says if we think their going to be a threat in a few years, we can act now to take them out.  So he's mostly right on this one.

policy of preventive war, which held that the United States should depose foreign regimes that represented a potential or perceived threat to the security of the United States, even if that threat was not immediate

There's a big difference between pre-emptive war against a country that hasn't attacked you, and kicking the shit out of a nation that attacks you.

Afghanistan = justified war.
Iraq = optional war for resource gain.

The resolutions were for inspections.  They got those in Spring 03 and didn't find any WMD.

Bush didn't like the findings, so he invaded anyway :)

Look, I'm okay with taking over nations for their resources, but I don't like the denial.  I"m okay with us being conquereors if that's what we need to do.  I just don't like being lied to about WMDs.  Be honest with us.  Rove and Bush both have admitted there were no WMD.

Iraq was/is a justified war.

They were going to throw rocks across the Atlantic. Those rocks were going to land on American cities.

Not to mention Saddam Hussein had thousands of unmanned aircraft which were going to spray DDT on our crops and cause birth defects.

Plus, Saddam used to play handball with OBL and they talked about how much they hated American freedom - just couldn't stand it.

Luckily, we invaded just in time. Now we won't shouldn't have any more problems out of the Middle East.
