I heard cheese is great for bulking up? is this true?
-
bulk up your stomach.yea.
-
If you don't overdo it it won't hurt you. It's just like anything else though, you go crazy with it & it'll come back to bite you.
-
It's too high in fat... when u have enough protein from it, your fat and calorie intake has skyrocketed...
Like rimbaud said, don't over do it. A couple of slices on a piece of bread, and that's for taste. It's useless as a protein source.

Depends on the cheese, bro.
cottage cheese or fresh cheese have nearly no fat.
I agree that other cheeses are high in fat though. On that, you are right, a bit won't hurt you, but it'll do nothing good for you as well.

If you like eating cheese, why not.
-
Eat cottage cheese when bulking. Put in pineapple chunks and eat it. Or swallow it the wrong way and die....either way works
-
if your try to bulk up eat it...
-
Melt it down and thrown it on somebody when its scalding hot is good too.
-
why not? most of you guys probably use a whey protein which is just a by product of cheese making anyway.
-
Depends on alot of variables
-individual metabolism
-composition of the rest of diet
-natural or enhanced
-current physique goals
etc etc
Bur for the majority of people the majority of time cheese isnt the greatest choice.

oh, i don't consider cottage cheese as a cheese though... cheese to me is those yellow blocks.
Cottage cheese is great and i eat tons of it. Good protein per calorie ratio, almost as good as chicken and eggwhites.
Cottage cheese 22g protein = 140kcal
Eggwhites 21g protein = 120kcal
Chicken 20g protein = 115kcal

Perfect casein source!

Perfect casein source!
And since casein is a 'slow' protein it's a ideal protein type for your latest meal before sleeping.
-
the amount of casein protein in cheese is so insignificant that it is absurd to call cheese a source of casein.
cheese is a source of saturated fat. end of discussion.
